Description
Here's my finished smilodon populator! Since it's unknown what exactly their fur and markings (if they had any) looked like I went with a mix of a African lion and some hyenas. Smilodon done in markers, colored pencils, and white pens. Background done in Photoshop.Related smilodon populator studies:

Yes! There's three species of smilodon: populator, fatalis, and gracilis. I almost did fatalis, but I really wanted to illustrate the muscles and power in the front legs of populator. They're just so big!

Fantastic work I love the depth in design the supporting images detailing the structure of the creature show a dedicated and meticulous care in the construction ofΒ this creature.

I think that purplish-gray used in all three grounds (fore, mid and back) kills the depth. It's also noticeable on the underside of the cat and insides of both far legs, which, again, flattens the space.

Thanks for the critique! I'll keep that in mind.

*Sigh* I know people that would throw Sol-Caninus in hell for doing a crictique.
You have gained a watcher.

Lol! I never understood why people hate critiques. I wouldn't improve without them!

These people hate crictiques because they are stuck up, stubborn and stupid. I just blocked someone like this (the user simply started to mock me after giving a very poorly tought counter argument for my argument).

Any time. Β And, yeah, just a comment, not a critique.Β
