Description
A Rainmeter Based Passcode Lock for the desktop. Β It takes inspiration from the Emiko Launcher by Kaelri. The background can be customized and the activation method can be custom built as well.
You can change your passcode by editing the skin's ini file. Change the "IfEqualValue" to whatever combination you would like. The keypad is layed out like this:
(1) (2) (3)
(4) (5) (6)
(7) (8) (9)
RainLock does not include an easy way to lock the screen but you may add the included RainLock.exe file to your startup folder to lock the screen using the keyboard shortcut Win+k.
The startup folder is located here:
"%appdata%MicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup"
The Lockscreen background can be changed by replacing the contents of the "LockBackground.png" with your preffered image in your screen's resolution.
Enjoy!
EDIT: Some users have run into an issue by opening the skin without checking the passcode. The default passcode is 9621. It is recommended that you change this once you begin to use the skin.
EDIT: The keyboard shortcut will only work if Rainmeter is running from "%programfiles%Rainmeter". The keyboard shortcut will be replaced with a desktop lock button in the next update.

In the next update, could you add compatibility for 2 monitors?
Thanks, ZeSaboteur.

Working on it. It's a bit harder than it seems. Rainmeter doesn't play nice with negative coordinates.

Well i just dumbly launched the skin and well it did not even take too much effort in easily opening the task manager and closing the program... But for someone like my parents its working great...

This isn't meant for high security. This is mainly just to stop nosey people. If task manager stayed on-screen long enough for you to close rainmeter, your computer sounds a little slow. If however, you mean it went off screen but you still found Rainmeter.exe and closed it, let's just make it a point that anybody trying to get into your computer isn't going to know that your lockscreen is a Rainmeter skin. They're not going to know that they have to close Rainmeter.exe, nor should task manager be on screen long enough for them to look through the list of processes.

Very nicely done. I've edited RainLock.exe to use the shortcut key Ctrl+Alt+K.
Thanks for the share.

Not sure what you mean. Can you explain what you're trying to do? Are you trying to unlock your computer or trying to load the skin?

You need to use an image editing software such as photoshop to edit the button images in the skin folder. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately there is no way to change the keyboard shortcut except by manually creating a new autohotkey script.

I accidentally used the zero....how to unlock?

Ctrl-right click and then select unload skin. Make sure not to include zeros in your passcode or else you won't be able to unlock it properly.

Sure, default combination is 9621, but if you changed it I don't know what it is.
btw you can also unlock with this button and then just Unload skin, I guess this is also a bug

The default combination is 9621. The keypad layout is as shown in the layout above. click the buttons in the correct order and it will unlock. Once you have unlocked it, you can change the passcode from within the skin's ini file using the instructions above. Simply change the 9621 to whatever combination you would like. I will probably release a more user friendly update after my exams.
