Description What’s a Mario Universe without Goombas >O< However, these Goombas aren’t from the regular Mushroom Kingdom. But the Goombas on the bottom are the bigger threat. And you’ll see why…

SCAN LOG

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Groomba. A Goomba native to the Majestic Empire. Despite it having a different shade of color, it is nothing more than a regular Goomba. These creatures, like in the Mushroom Kingdom, are a very common species. You will practically see them everywhere.
STATS: HP 5/ATK 1/DEF 0
ATTACKS: Headbonk
ANALYSIS: A Goomba’s basic attack is its headbonk. However, it’s not its strongest offensive attack, so guarding will nullify the attack. These enemies hold no threat and can be easily defeated within a matter of seconds.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Paragroomba. A Groomba with wings. Despite it having wings, it still holds no
STATS: HP 5/ATK 1/DEF 0
ATTACKS: Dive
ANALYSIS: As you may have already guessed, your hammer will not reach this enemy. An essential maneuver is your jump attack. Once you jump on it, its wings will be clipped off, thus leaving it vulnerable to hammer attacks. It’s a little barbaric, but it’s the only natural solution.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Hard Groomba. A Groomba that wears a metallic helmet. This helmet is said to withstand jump attacks. It has more attack power than the regular two Groombas.
STATS: HP 5/ATK 3/DEF 1(Jump attacks won’t work)
ATTACKS: Hardbonk
ANALYSIS: With its hard helmet on, its headbonk does slightly more damage than before. Jump attacks will do no damage, so it is best to attack it using hammer attacks.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Foonga. A Goomba that has adapted to harsh and toxic environments. Its body is coated in venom that it can spread to others. Guarding is key against this species.
STATS: HP 8/ATK 5/DEF 0
ATTACKS: Headbonk (Will cause Poison)/Charge
ANALYSIS: Scans reveal that Foongas act and battle the same way as a Hyper Goomba. Meaning they can charge their attack up to 6 points, dealing a devastating 11 points of damage when they do their normal headbonk. The only difference is if guarding is not timed correctly, said attack will lead to poison. Remember, Guarding is key!

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Parafoonga. A Foonga with wings. Its wings however are a lot tougher, so jumping on it once will not set it down. As always, this Foonga is coated in venom, so be careful.
STATS: HP 8/ATK 5/DEF 0
ATTACKS: Dive (Will cause Poison)/Charge
ANALYSIS: Foongas have stronger wings, so continuous jump attacks may knock off the air. Defeat this creature before it has time to charge and poison you.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Spiked Foonga. A Foonga that wears a spiky helmet. Just like the Hard Groombas, Jump attacks will do no damage, however if you make contact with the spike, you will take damage instead. This is the only Foonga that is not coated in venom. Its spike on its helmet is however.
STATS: HP 8/ATK 9/DEF 0
ATTACKS: Spikebonk (Will cause Poison)/Charge
ANALYSIS: With its spiked helmet, this Foonga does a lot more damage than the other two Foongas. And their attack will lead to poison if you don’t guard. If a Foonga charges, they will deal a total of 15 points of damage. Be careful.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Goomfinity. A Goomba that has joined the Infinity Empire. These Goombas have received very special training and can now fight with the use a hammer. Some say this would make them similar to regular Hammer Bros.
STATS: HP 15/ATK 13/DEF 5
ATTACKS: Hammer Toss/Charge/Triple Hammer Toss
ANALYSIS: Goomfinities attack by tossing their hammer in the air, jump up near their hammer, then kicking it with great force towards their opponent. When they charge, not only they raise their attack up 6 points, but they will also use their attack three times. I’ve done the math Mario and all together, that does a total of 57 points of damage. If you don’t guard or have high enough defense, you’ll be defeated in seconds. At first it wasn’t possible, but now it seems these Goombas have now become the opposite of normal Goombas……a high level threat.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Jet Goomfinity. A Goomfinity with a jet pack. Similar to Paragoombas, although, they cannot be taken down from the air. So no matter how many times you try, jump attacks will not knock this thing down. It is however the only way to defeat it.
STATS: HP 15/ATK 13/DEF 5
ATTACKS: Jet Dash/Charge/Triple Dasher/Booster Burn
ANALYSIS: Jet Goomfinities have incredible speed and can dash right through you at a fast rate, dealing damage. If they charge themselves up, not only they raise their attack up 6 points, but they will also use their attack three times, dealing 57 points of damage. If you don’t guard or have high enough defense, you’ll be defeated in seconds. And also be cautious when they fly above you, for they will burn you with the jet pack’s boosters. Taking these things down first a high priority.

You know, it took me forever to realize just what Goombas were. xD I always thought they were little bipedal monster things, but apparently they're walking mushrooms, too.

That said, boy, do I not like Foongas. D;

But, y'know, what's a game without at least one broken enemy?

At least until Mario inevitably gets a Super Boots.

Well, these are certainly interesting interpretations of Goombas. Making the basic versions slightly different species than the normal Goombas is a clever touch, and the Infinity versions actually look and sound like credible threats. We thought the Jet Goomfinity was sitting on a flying throne at first, but a jetpack makes a lot more sense.

thanks ^^ So even the Goombas Are tough in the Infinity Empire! What say you about this empire now?

SliverEmperor In reply to TheSpiderManager [2011-08-01 22:12:17 +0000 UTC]

Well, we say...it's a darn good thing they're not in the same universe as ours. A Clawtech-Infinity alliance would probably be unstoppable, and Clawler is known to lend his technology to anyone he deems a potential secure asset in his quest to raze the entire planet (and possibly the universe) of all non-Koopa life.

TheSpiderManager In reply to SliverEmperor [2011-08-02 03:49:41 +0000 UTC]

Dude, Clawler and Saku joining together would be like you and me turning to the dark side and joining Nevic. Hell would break loose in seconds.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SliverEmperor In reply to TheSpiderManager [2011-08-02 04:46:39 +0000 UTC]

Probably. Unless Saku takes offense to the fact that Clawler plans on turning the whole world into a volcanic wasteland for the sole purpose of ensuring Koopa supremacy. Or when Clawler does something to really tick Mario off (like killing Luigi, for instance)...then no amount of minions, weapons, or armor may save them.
