Kion was pacing back and forth outside of the royal den. As his father Simba and Kovu stared at him pacing they could both see his anxiety just in the way he walked. But it didn't last for too long as Kion's ears perked up to the sound of a staff clanging on the stone. Kion looked up to see his mother, Nala and the old Royal Mjuzi, Rafiki exit the Royal den side by side. Kion was the first to approach as he looked from both his mother to Rafiki wondering how Tiifu's process went.

Kion: "Well? How is she? Is my child alright? Can I see them now?"

It took a nuzzle of reassurance from Nala so Kion could close his jaw and take a breath so he would stop bombarding poor old Rafiki with questions.

Rafiki: "Your wife is fine, young Kion. She was able to deliver two healthy cubs. A boy and a girl each. You may go in and see them now my boy.

Kion: "Thank you, Rafiki! Thank you so much!"

Kion raced past his mother and the old sage as Nala went to go and join Simba as the two older lions shared their joy at having even more grand cubs and soon Kiara would give birth to a second litter herself. While Kovu was just so appy at the thought of being an uncle.

As Kion rushed in he sees his sister, Kiara watching over Chiku and Mukasa happily as she lays on her side her swollen belly exposed.

Kiara: "Congratulations brother! You're a father now."

Kion: "And you're an aunt. Don't spoil them you hear me, sis!"

Kiara: "Like you haven't done that enough with my own cubs." Kiara chuckled as she grabbed Mukasa with her massive paw and began to groom him.

Kion: "That's what uncles are for!" Kiara just rolled her eyes as she also began to groom Chiku as well.

As Kion reached the back of the den he finds Tiifu staring at two cubs curled up together in the curve of her forepaws. As Tiifu finds Kion staring at her in shock. She smiles and gives her mate a bit of a smirk.

Tiifu: "Come and meet your son and daughter, my darling. I can assure you they won't bite. They don't even have teeth yet."

Kion: "You always were one for jokes, Tiifu. But all jokes aside let me get a good look at these two."

As Kion approached his family Tiifu opened up her paws so Kion could inspect his cubs closely. The little boy looked a shade of lighter than that of his mother when was she as a cub but he could also see a hint of orange in his fur which he did inherit from that of his grandfather, Simba and he noticed that the boy had three little spots on each cheek just like his mother and had a shade of lighter green eyes than Tiifu did as well as a little tuft or a mane that was maroon in color everything about Kion wouldn't change a thing about him. As Kion went to inspect his daughter next he noticed she looked every bit like Tiifu from her little tuft of fur sticking up on her forehead to two little spots running down each of her eye. Her eyes are what caught Kion's attention the most. The girl had managed to inherit his late grandmother's orange eyes perfectly and down to Queen Sarabi's exact shade of orange. Kion felt the tears start to swell up as his heart burst with pride.

Kion: "I never thought this would happen but they're here they really are here."

Tiifu: "Knowing my family history it's very amazing that we're parents and much less to two cubs. It really is a miracle."

Kion: "So we should pick some names for these two... What did you have in mind?"

Tiifu: "Well, for the girl I thought about Uzani. Not quite sure about for the boy yet. Do you have any suggestions?"

Kion: "I was actually thinking Shujaa." Tiifu raised an eyebrow an eyebrow at this suggestion.

Tiifu: You want to name him after Shujaa that massive gorilla who lives with the Sokwe Troop up in The Theluji Mountains?"

Kion: "That is partly the reason but I want Shujaa to be his own special name. Look at our son closely, Tiifu as you can see he looks very big in size compared to our daughter and I think someday he will be as strong as Beshte on the Lion Guard and perhaps Uzani will be the fastest. we will have to see what the future holds but I think we have two official future members for Chiku's Lion Guard when they become of age."

Tiifu: "This sounds all very exciting Kion but lets just enjoy them while they're still small and young. There will be plenty of time to assess them when they become older."

Kion nodded and curled himself around Tiifu and the two parents watched on proud that their little miracles where here at last. It had been a long road getting from there to here but Kion and Tiifu would make every moment for their cubs as special as they possibly could.
