Great tutorials! I am wondering though, what are the tools used to replicate this coloring used in this for PS?

Thanks in advance.

You can do most of this in Photoshop, but if you ever find a brush that acts just like the Watercolor tool, let me know... I've yet to find one. :TΒ

This is what I've found so far. I've yet to actually test it out (I have PS Elements, so gotta try what's recommended in the description), but I hope this works for you!

Wow, this was indeed a helpful tutorial, I'm struck about that lineart feature, I had no idea Sai was that good with lines...

I don't really have anything to ask, everything was well explained, so all that's left is to thank you and fave. :>

And here I thought I knew all there was to know about Sai! This opens up so many other options for me, and is also a very informative coloring/shading/highlighting tutorial! Thank you so much for putting this together c:

Cool looking tut and pic

Can I ask though, as I've only ever used photoshop, what is the advantage of using sai aswell?

I prefer Sai for painting for a lot of reasons... I think first and foremost, it is very simple to use. It has the same features I used to use in Photoshop in a more concise package. I generally like the painting tools better; the look of the Watercolor tool is much better than the equivalent brush I was using in Photoshop. But Sai does not have a lot of the useful photo editing features that Photoshop has, so I still use it for editing. It's kind of a personal choice. I tend to find Sai most advantageous for doing really quick art like icon commissions that don't require a lot of detail.
