Description Flag of the Hungaro-Croatian Empire, more formaly known as The Lands of the Holy Crown of Saint Stephen and The Holy Crown of Zvonimir.

Without the German powerbase Francis Joseph had in the Austrian Empire he finaly had to bow to massive internal pressure in 1887 and transformed the dual monarchy into a federal system of language-based states, the United States of Greater Hungary.

Nice! A better union that Austria-Hungary, with Croatia not even being represented. How long would this nation last?

Well Actually it would be Budapest & Zagreb. The Capitals of Austria Hungary Were Budapest & Vienna so I'd say it'd be the same situation

Transformation of dual monarchy into federalΒ system of language-based states woljd go like this.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_S…

Making a federation inside federation (yo dawg) doesn't make sense.

This is an independent state. If you are unable to read picture descriptions and ATL-context that is not my problem. "Yo Dawg".

In this case you should have used "dissolved" instead of "transformed".

No, because Autria-Hungary never existed in this. What he transformed was Hungary. Into Hungary-Croatia.Β

Don't understand why St Stephen's Crown would be tipping to the left as it were in the Austro-Hungarian flag since this fictitious state would not include Austria though

Beacuse the cross was tipped during the events of the Spring of Nations in 1848 when someone crammed the crown into a box to hide it. Those events still take place in this timeline. The tilting of the cross has nothing to do with Austria Β

The funny thing was that old Franz Ferdinand wanted to do just this - Create a triple-Monarchy from the slavic states in the south of Austria-Hungary. Β Ironic, considering the fact that it was a slav who killed him and his wife.

Franz Ferdinand wanted a completly federalized monarchy, not a dual or triple monarchy.

There's no such thing as "Holy Crown of Zvonimir", nor "Lands of the Crown of Zvonimir". Croatia is a kingdom of the Holy Crown at least since the 15th century, when the Croatian nobles accepted the coronation with the Holy Crown. Respect the Croatian Constitution.

I support this statement.
Saint Stephen was a king who was proclaimed a saint, thet's why the Stephen's crown was "holy".
Zvonimir was not a saint, nor there was any reason to proclaim him as one, so Zvonimir's crown, most probably would not be holy.
