“Alice is a lie and it is one that will bring destruction to whomever should speak of it.”
This is the 2nd Character Concept for the Coriana Series.
I do hope you like this short work which took a four hours to do on Photoshop CS5 with a Wacom Intuos 4.
Alice is part of a burgeoning idea in a world, named Coriana, that I will populate with my sketches!

Alice's Story
Alice was born into an aristocratic Assirian family and led a life in complete comfort till the day magic manifested within her. Magic to the Assirian nobility was an unknown, an irregularity that could not be fully understood by science and it scared them. Hiding her among the servants and changing her identity, Alice was pronounced dead to the world.
Though torn by her family's decision, Alice found a new life among the servants of her household and the working class of the Assirian capital, Airia. Many of the working class of the city, from the low to the upper, were from Thessadora and knew some magic, and it was this knowledge of magic that Alice drew upon.
With the revolution of Assiria, all nobility were stripped of their titles and their excessive wealth distributed to the Assirian commoners. Many nobles resisted and were met with equal force, more often resulting in their deaths. Alice's family was one of the many who fought and fell. Seeing the savagery of her nation's people, Alice fled to Thessadora, taking with her the wealth of her dead family and the status that was conferred from it. With power from both worlds, Alice had in the palms of her hand, magic and technology, to which she spliced together and formed technomagic.
The combination of magic and technology proved invaluable and it’s potential for destruction increased with each battle Alice fought through, gaining her and the technomage form much renown and respect.
