"Blood," she whispers, soft and slow with a tender touch; holding the knife to her supple palm.

"My blood for the fallen, my blood for the oppressed, and my blood for my family," she cries and the knife cuts her flesh.

Ceremonial metal opens a wound, draws out her blood and spills it; exposing her red life to the black touch of night air.

"What was once shed to divide shall now unite."

A river of red drips from her palm and the sanguine drops seize in mid-air.

"To the dawn I give my blood, to the world I give my heart, and to my sister I give my life."

Blood rises towards the night sky and Lilith, the Red hawk of the Dawn, prays in silence. *****

Red Hawk Dawn!

Was once called "Speed Sketch 5 2014" but I decided to give this artwork some semblance of a story, so do enjoy a little story about blood and about a woman named Lilith.

Took around two and a half to three hrs to complete this piece.
