Description
Celebrating 2 Years of Digital Art!In time, everything changes and so to has Delirium matured. No more is she the innocent girl shown in "Delirium Tempest", she is now a woman capable of facing the horrors of the world and of reality. Now, at the moment, she is in a state of clarity, a state that Delirium hasn't felt in quite some time.

The short of how it all began
Back in the year 2011, during this month of September, I had finally completed my very first digital artwork. The artwork, titled Delirium Tempest, was the last of my personification series of works I had planned for that year and it was the culmination of an intensive month of self taught digital art training.
Delirium Tempest was more than just another artwork. It was and still is to me, a reminder of the paradigm shift I undertook. I had to show myself and my art teacher that my sudden switch to the Digital Art medium, which was foreign to me at that time, could at least bear some artwork worthy of exhibition and grading. The character personification of Delirium and the work also stands as a testament to that time in July 2011 where I was once confused and lost till I was introduced to digital art by a friend.
That is why there is no better way to commemorate my 2 years of digital art than with a new work of the very first digital artwork piece I ever did.
This is Delirium Redux, the resurgence of the revolution that was my paradigm shift.

About Delirium Redux
Accepting the fact that I need to change is always the hardest.
Delirium, red haired, green eyed and beaming with all the uncertainty in the world, is to me, the personification of drastic change, of change so immense that one could go mad from it. She represents how I once felt utterly confused and how I’ve changed for better or for worse. She is my acceptance of change and the confusion of it.
There is a perfect beauty in imperfection.
Like I had once done, Delirium is a pure construct of my mind and is drawn from raw imagination and total freedom. Delirium isn’t meant to be anatomically perfect or even proper in any human form. She isn’t meant to be comforting or attractive. She is meant to be the unease you feel when change happens. This is why I draw her without any guidelines or reference as I want the rawness of the inaccurate proportions or the wrong perspective to provide you that sense of uneasiness.
They say the eyes are the gateway to the soul.
If you find yourself staring into her right eye, look into it with your left eye and feel the soul of the art. Feel the perseverance, the anger and the hope I had during that time of change. Where I had once drawn Delirium’s right eye covered, here I reveal it and with it’s revelation, I allow you to finally see the soul of the artwork I had created.
The future happens one day at a time.
The original work, titled Delirium Tempest would go on to provide me the inspiration for my beloved character of Circe Bell, who has the same fiery red hair and ethereal green eyes. Now 2 years later, I look back and I see just how much I have grown and I marvel at what would have happen if my friend had not chosen to come to class that day..
Just remember that it is only at our lowest points, that the greatest change happens.

Her gaze is so intense and I love the contrast of her green eyes with the red hair!! (by the way, I've got the same color of eyes and hair XD )
