Description Only a few of them to start off this time, because I uh...kinda have to go to bed soon, and I don't have that much time to make more. But y'know, wanted to give you an idea! THIS, my dear friends, is an idea I came up with on Discord with Kaz's owner,

A subplot of FantasTech which involves in Kaz going back to the school he was practically raised in. Back to Empyrean Academy. Back HOME. Back to where his parents are, teaching and worried sick about him!

He left to begin with to find answers about the mysterious Codex of the Stars he got. And after witnessing several brutal deaths, narrowly evading getting killed more than once, AND finally getting the answers he needed from Liliel...he found himself free to go back. Free to simply return to the libraries, the books, and the classrooms, where everything will return back to normal.

...except they didn't. Cuz he actually has to get to know people now. XD All of which I came up by myself this time, soooo please enjoy!

------------------------------

1) Kazwellor Roswaal
(The "Chosen One")
Race: Half-Elf
Specialty: Golemancy
- Kaz finds himself in quite a sticky wicket. He's not very social. At all. Considering his old school life consisted of occasionally getting teased for being a teacher's pet AND mama's boy, and burying himself in books and studies, now he finds himself being a local celebrity and hero. Something he's DEFINITELY not looking forward to, knowing all the expectations he'll probably have to live up to. So much for rest and relaxation at the library...At least he's got his golem/fire elemental buddy AGNE to rely on!

2) Zerith
(The Student Teacher)
Race: Dragon
Specialty: Arcane Magic
- Zerith is a student who is some ways ahead of Kaz in his magic studies, having gotten there despite being born with far fewer inherent gifts than other dragons. However, he hopes to one day be a disciple of King Norbert's, and perhaps even a member of the dragon king's court as a royal mage! He'll do whatever it takes to realize his ambitions. Part of that is exercising his skills as a student and a teacher, forging a very beneficial friendship with Kaz.

3) Shizo Yamazaki
(The Rambler)
Race: Yokai (Yamajijii)
Specialty: Words of Power
- Some people mistake this guy for an old man. Truth be told, he does kind of act like one, often having many life stories to recount, philosophies that he props up time to time, among other things. But he is unusually soft spoken. Which is strange, considering that his kind, the Yamajijii, are known for having ear-burstingly loud voices, which can cause deadly aneurysms if someone hears it all the way. This guy? He's just more interested in sharing his life story with Kaz, which...can drag out for quite a while in some places. I mean the guy can really talk...

4) Baddington Bertholamew
(The Loyal Prefect)
Race: Cynocephalus
Specialty: Kinetic Magic
- Few students can uphold the school rules better than Baddington. Or as others call him, "Baddie", "Badass", or even just "Bad". Being a beautifully-groomed, white-furred Cynocephalus (dog-headed humanoid) is amazingly popular and wealthy, with the pedigree to prove his prestigious lineage. He is pretty much every student's role model here...which is why it's something of a surprise for many students for him to commend Kaz for his exploits. Albeit keeping a close eye on him, to be sure he's making a good example of himself.

5) Lorenz Lighton
(The Keet)
Race: Birdfolk (Budgerigar)
Specialty: Wind Magic
- Next to Shizo, this one is KINDA similar, in that he's very curious of Kaz and what life was like outside of their monotonously safe abode in the academy. Except Lorenz is...kinda weird. He tends to ask a lot of dumb and inane questions, is SUPER hyper, and he does have various "feminine" interests (i.e. sewing, baking, pink clothes), although people like his company all the same, when his sheer liveliness isn't tiring them out. Although it's sure tough for Kaz to keep up with him.

6) Oodl El-Vellessk
(The Smartass Bookworm)
Race: Illithid
Specialty: Divination
- She's one of the smartest students in the class, and as a result, she tends to sass and snark at people a LOT. In general, she seems to have a somewhat apathetic attitude towards things in life that are otherwise amazing or surprising. Think Sucy from Little Witch Academia! Is a jerk, talks like a jerk, does jerky things while avoiding penalties, and is completely fine with it. Also? Oodl gives absolutely zero doodles about Kaz's adventures, and treats him about as well as anyone else. Which is actually a big relief on his part.

7) Annuna-Ili
(The Badass Princess)
Race: Aqrabuamelu
Specialty: Magical Archery
- As a member of the esteemed race of half-human, half-scorpion warriors known as the Aqrabuamelu, she is actually another fierce rival of one of Tiffany's best friends, Artemisa! Being another champion of Archery sports, she came from a long lineage of Aqrabuamelu who guarded kings and castles, and even the gates to other worlds according to legends! Annuna-Ili seeks to uphold her bloodline's legacy, having a fierce competitive streak, but ultimately a fair one. And...outside of the proving grounds, she's actually quite reasonable.

8) Baena
(The Shy Girl)
Race: Half-Demon
Specialty: Summoning Magic
- She was born under quite unfortunate circumstances. Particularly through a witch who, pregnant with a love potion victim's child, had intended to corrupt her own offspring via demonic power. Although...said mother had turned away from evil, and been redeemed after nine months. By which time, it was too late to take back her daughter's physical corruption. While Baena's mother does love her...Baena can't help but feel unwanted, knowing the truth. Feeling like a mistake. Like she's hideous. To her, she knows Empyrean as the only place left to accept her. Her two heads are merely extensions of herself containing parts of her personality. And they are no more secure with themselves than the main head.

Character idea! This one is the sort of character I never seem to do.....Male. XD But besides that, also a bit of a natural charmer. Though his weakness shows a truth to the chivalry he is thought to use as a means of wooing girls. He himself is a rarity, a product of an arranged marriage between two noble families both in pursuit of political power through their children's betrothal. His mother was a valiant knight commander and his father was one of very few gifted minotaur mages. The families both thought they were marrying into the leaders f each other's races but later discovered each other's lies. But their children were happy and had a son who is the character I'm proposing now. A similar case to Chris O' Mallus in how his races mix.

Darius Stonewall is a half-centaur, half-minotaur(Has bull-like horns and a muscular human upper body, but a bull as a lower body) man of brain and brawn along with decent wealth. His mother taught him to be a chivalrous gentleman and his father taught him to channel his natural rage into magic acuity. Because of his combination of races, he is naturally quite strong and fast. You'd think he would be some sort of Adonis, but no. He is a lover, not a fighter. By which I mean he uses those muscles for very little other than looks and prefers elegant weaponry conjured by magic. His father developed a spell called Rage Arsenal that is incredibly difficult to master since it requires both strong anger and a logical mind at the same time. As he tells Darius, "Anger is emotion. That is a product of the soul. Magic is derived from the soul, but it must pass through the mind to be channeled correctly. So you must separate your emotion from your logical thought to let your mind act as the thing that shapes the raw power of magic fueled by anger. This will become your weapon." He has spent many years perfecting the technique and only recently achieved the inner balance required.
His specialty is Magical Armament. Specifically for both himself AND allies. He doesn't want to rely solely on Rage Arsenal. He dislikes his short temper. And his father was a student at Empyrean in the past as well. So it seemed natural to study there. Now he charms the ladies with his looks, manners, and intellect. Though he doesn't try hard to do so, they kinda flock to him because of his behavior and looks. But the only ones he truly has a connection with is shy girls. They are the ones that don't chase him, the ones that spurn his advances because it draws too much attention. The ones who are much more likely to see who he truly is, a man who wants to be his parent's pride, but not a copy of them. He struggles to stray from his parents' wishes despite wanting to be his own man with the skills they have given him. Shy girls can empathize with not wanting to disappoint but wanting to be themselves. So many others think he is just being manipulative of these girls' feelings, but he is trying to be supportive in his advances when speaking to such girls. Baena is but one of the many shy girls he wishes to see smile thanks to his actions and words. He wants to use his magic to help these sorts of girls protect themselves with help from him. They are capable of so much more than society lets them believe! "If a minotaur can become an accomplished mage, then you can shine with the talents that you hone with your own skills. You only need confidence. I can be that for you." That is how he truly feels.

This character was inspired by Gonta from Danganronpa V3 btw. Very loosely though. He might interact with Kaz as an acquaintance more than a friend, but I'll let you decide the exact nature of their relationship. You probably have a better idea of how he might be able to fit in anyway.

Dr. Morchella "Morel" Esculenta, a Common Morel Matango who teaches mycology and alchemy at Empyrean Academy.

A Matango is essentially just a big-ass mushroom with arms and legs. No head, no facial features, just a stalk, a cap, and four limbs.

Oh wow...looked at an image on Google Images, and that's pretty bizarre!

With how weird mushrooms can get at times, the Matangos must look pretty...interesting at times.

Like say...an Octopus Stinkhorn with arms and legs. XD

Indeed XD.

Also, since Matango don't have mouths, they can't speak and don't use names. They communicate via mycelium and smells, and are usually given nicknames by other species to mark individual Matango.

For Dr. Morel, he has the scientific name of his mushroom species and uses a Florina teacher's aide as an interpreter.
