Description Basically a remake of the lore I originally posted a while back under the name "Cauldron",  Cauldron - The Cosmic Origins of Cauldron(DISCLAIMER: This isn't meant to be consistent with any one particular religion! It's a cosmology exclusive to this universe, albeit using a TON of different mythological canons!
Sooooooo do have an open mind in case you see cross-mythological weirdness!)
THE BEGINNING
There are many things that have been said about the origins of Cauldron.
Before life existed. Before the world was known as Cauldron. Before it was known as Earth...the world had once been an empty, lifeless rock, simply known as the Nameless World. And it was here that the world was discovered by Ziz.
Ziz, the Father of All Birds. Having flown away from the dangers of the outer cosmos, he made his nest on this solitary blank slate of a planet. He needed no mate, for he was above male and female. So when he saw it time to create children...he laid his own essence unto it, by laying a Cosmic Egg.
This Egg's immense shell became the planet's very crust. The yolk that, but remade into this, since I figured it'd be more lore-friendly to what I've developed for FantasTech so far!

More stuff to be revealed!

---------------------

1) Shows how life on Cauldron began. When Ziz had arrived to a barren and nameless planet, and bestowed life upon it in the form of a Cosmic Egg.

When it hatched upon the Earth, its yolk became the oceans. And within it, all of the right conditions to spawn life as we know it, for eons to come. And with Ziz being there every step of the way to see it happen.

---------------------

2) Next, from the remains of Creation, emerged Ziz's two sons. Behemoth and Leviathan.

Behemoth, a visceral, tentacle-laden beast of the land, was a being of flesh, blood and primal instinct, whose flesh helped create the animals, and whose footsteps razed the crust of the Earth, and created the continents.

Leviathan, a mechanical and pressurized beast of the sea, gave off workings that produced the sea's waves, storms, and weather. That which made life on the world's continents hospitable...and left Leviathan embittered and envious of his father and brother's gifts, and bountiful domain. For unlike his brother, he was smart enough to comprehend what he had, and what he lacked. And, in his eyes, what he deserved. He was created to maintain...but he so sorely wanted to create. He wanted to be a god...just like Ziz.

He had managed to get his chance to create, when Ziz, Behemoth and Leviathan had all collaborated together to create something truly unique: people. Sapient beings who understood the world around them, and were able to change, becoming better with each new generation.

However...they were newly created. And the sight of Behemoth and Leviathan had struck them with utter terror, calling them "demons", "monsters", "abominations" and the like. While they embraced Ziz as their holy creator.

Behemoth, being mindless, paid no heed to this. But Leviathan, dismayed at their seeming insolence, turned his wrath to the people of the world. And cried out:

"I am not a devil! And I am not a monster! I! AM YOUR GOD!! BOW TO ME, YOU MORTAL FOOLS!!!"

But they would not. Because to them, Leviathan was a monster, and acted like one too. Upon attempting to crush the mortal people into dust, with the intent of starting all over again, Ziz had become furious at him. For mortal people are NOT created simply to glorify their creators. They are created to live...even though their actions may go against their wishes.

Now...convinced that the mortals of Cauldron are no longer worthy of the life he had given them, and that Ziz had stolen his chance for glory as a creator, he decided he wanted nothing more to do with the mortals.

He would destroy them. And start all over himself.

------------------------

3) To accomplish this, he had blocked his father's vision with a sea of clouds that embedded the entire Earth, now known as the Sea of Stratus. And while he was hidden from sight, with Ziz desperately trying to blow the clouds away, Leviathan had used his cunning to kill Behemoth. And devour his flesh to become half-flesh, half-machine.

And had taken on the name "Rahab". The Demonic Angel of the Sea. And just as Ziz laid a Cosmic Egg to sew life on Earth, Rahab too had lain the Orphic Egg. But had none of the patience to let it cultivate, settling instead for forcing it to hatch. And thus, resulting in the first of his children...

--------------------------

4) Lyngbakr is Rahab's firstborn son. A titanic whale, so big he trees upon his back, he was known as the Greatest Whale in the World. Yet one whom Rahab paid little attention to, despite all his efforts to prove his strength. His attempts to have children had resulted in the birth of the Whales. Among Rahab's most benevolent, and most hated grandchildren of all.

Hafgufa is Rahab's firstborn daughter. An island-like monstrosity, whom Rahab had taken by force as his mate, and used her to become the first mother of all sea monsters, until she could birth no more.

Including Typhon, who had crafted a biomechanical monster named "E.C.H.I.D.N.A", and with her ability to mix genes into monstrous new shapes, had given birth to the Fantastic Beasts. Truly unnatural, often magical creatures who had then overrun the ecosystem of Cauldron.

And...Anna-Shesha. Perhaps the first Sea Serpent ever known, and one of Rahab's most prized granddaughters, Rahab had likewise forced her to mate with him, and produce his most favored children: The Sea Serpents. To this day, Anna-Shesha lays trapped within the underground mountain range known as the Abyss Kingdom, confined and cramped within its very center. Destined to become constantly impregnated, and give birth to more and more Sea Serpents. Perhaps for eternity. Perhaps until her most precious children, the Nagas, come to her rescue. Perhaps until she dies from Rahab's abuse. Nobody knows yet.

However...what Ziz DID know is that the plane't's Kingdoms will die, and be destroyed by Rahab if he doesn't act fast.

So he did...

-----------------------------

5) Rather than spend so much energy trying to blow away the clouds Rahab covered the Earth in...Ziz sought to raise the land ABOVE the clouds. And into the sky.

Thus he did. In an event known as the Ascension of Land, where he used his own magical energy to create a huge pulling force, that held the world's land high up above the sea. And away from the reach of Rahab and his children.

Where Ziz's beloved children had been able to grow up, and embrace love, life, and each new day that comes to pass.

It eventually came time when Ziz gifted his children with the gift of magic, to be able to create new things, and change the world just as he can. A gift that he knows they may need one day, as the time comes ever closer to confront Rahab.

But one must ask. With the toll magic usage is taking on the Father of Birds..

...how much longer can Ziz hold on?

It's cool to see these God-like entities and how they developed the world into what it is now. But in the description, you put Ziz where you should have put Leviathan. The way it is now, it seems to say that Ziz devoured Behemoth in order to become Rahab.

Awwww dangit. @_@

Mixed up the pronouns a second time! I fixed it just now, and you're probably the second person so far to spot an error. XC

Thanks for catching that!

Everyone makes mistakes. I usually keep my mistakes in my writing unless they affect the story. It lets me see how much better I've gotten at spotting them.

And you aren't alone. My high school English teacher was often subjected to my repeated spelling and grammar corrections. At least he could be sure I was learning! XD

"Because to them, Ziz was a monster..."

Was this one it? Cuz I fixed it! XD

Thanks for catching that one!

Aww shucks dude, most of this stuff is just recycled! XDD

But for what it's worth, I DID spend a lot of time on the drawing. ESPECIALLY in trying to think of an initial design for Rahab. And I think it came out nicely. ^^

Thank ya very much dude!
