Description A very recently invented technology that's become quite popular across Cauldron's more technologically advanced areas. Photography is considered more of a fad than a part of life for the moment being. Although being able to get your picture taken through non-magical means, and be able to take that home with you...it's really quite a rare experience which many people appreciate. Cameras are even more uncommon! So photos in general become something dear to hang onto!

And then you have Chaos (belongs to ), the Mischief Manager of the Ghostly Labor Union, who's normally a stickler for rules to reducing ghostly malice and mean-spirited mischief...so what does she do, she pays for a session at the Photo Booth, and when nobody else is looking, makes a bunch of these scary-ass faces, and takes pictures of them. XD

Pretty much any ghost can do this with their face and bodies. I mean they have no solid bodies after all. They can attract electrons and particles in the air to be able to (optionally) physically touch things, but other than that, they can also phase through solid objects, and as demonstrated here, they can get away with bizarre shit like this.

Thanks Chaos. That was nice of you. Great way to use a newly developed technology.

Giving s' Tiffany permission to burn these. Aaaand 's Toma permission to never let her live this down by the time she goes back to work.

Good-natured mischief like this seems like a good outlet for ghosts with too much troublemaking in their.......ectoplasm? They don't have blood, so would that be the appropriate equivalent for this phrase?

I like that, Ectoplasm is perfect for Ghost blood.

It still doesn't fit into the phrase very naturally though. I'm a writer, I worry about stuff like that. XD But in terms of lore, that's what I figured could be the case. Perhaps that is also how they can manipulate their appearances like Tipsy said. Rather than working like normal blood, it could be just an essence that gives them form. They can touch things at will instead of always passing through them, so something like ectoplasm, or "ghost matter" would be their body's way of turning off the intangibility to select areas.

I actually like that theory, I really do.

Anyway, I'm kinda writing a Ghostly Rule Book and I was wondering if you have any ideas for it.

Maybe Ghosts can, legally, only possess a living individual if they are unconscious and in need of such help. Even if they know the Ghost well, being possessed is dangerous since it can increase the likelihood of insanity or mental health complications.

Ghosts are always the same as they were in life in terms of personality. Any huge changes to behavior only come about as a result of death putting things into perspective, the laws they need to follow, their new powers/bodies, and the forced change in lifestyle. Ghosts are often many many years old and so they have had time to put their priorities in order and consider their life and current existence. Many become well-versed in philosophy.

Ghosts can use magic, but it is more difficult to use a wand for it. So they usually stick to simple spells as more advanced ones need the things a wand provides. Wandless non-ritualistic magic is called "Channeled Magic" since it is preformed via sending magic through the body to be released from a specific place. Though channeled magic does have some perks due to that difference. (fire-breathing, shooting spells behind you without looking, comical uses, etc.) It is much less dangerous of an option for Ghosts since they are dead already and have incorporeal bodies. So you won't stop your own heart trying to divert a lightning spell for example. Or burn your hand shooting a fireball from your palm.

How's that for some possible rules?

So the Wire Kingdom is at the same technological level as the 1940’s, give or take?

Very well done. I can see the references or inspiration on at least two of your photographic drawings (top middle and top right).
