Description
Be cautious on the full view as it is massive ( 1024 x 3600 ).So here it is, the first of many tutorials detailing how I create my digital artwork.
I figured that instead of trying to do one massive, and probably confusing, tutorial covering everything, I would make some smaller easier to follow ( I hope ) tutorials.
Anyways, have fun.
And, as always...
...See ya around the galaxy...
p.s. if ya find any errors in this tutorial, let me know and I'll be happy to fix em. Also if ya have any questions that I didn't address, let me know and I'll draw up something for ya explaining it.

I got lost and the transform thing. Could you be more specific?

sure thing. The idea behind transforming the layer is that you can then make it bigger. This gives the effect of larger slightly brighter (and therefore apparently closer) stars once the layer is set again to either linear dodge or screen.
transform is silly big word that photoshop uses in place of 'resize'. do note though that you have to be zoomed out slightly so that you can take hold of and work with the edges of your layer in order to resize it.
I hope this has been a little more informative than what was found in the tutorial. Hope it comes of use to ya, and best of luck on your image! ^^

I have no idea, probably sometime after thanksgiving ('cause I got tests until the break to study for, lol). If I find I have a bit of free time (that and a friend of mine is letting me borrow his tablet for a bit Woo!!) I'll try and ant least get the dust and some other stuff for the starfield up.

Great tutorial. The only thing it needs is an example of the brushes you were talking about there at the end, because I don't really know what you mean.
Keep doing tutorials, you're good at it and make things understandable. It's awesome that you give some of the keyboard shortcuts too. I knew all of them in this tutorial, but hopefully I'll learn some new ones from future tutorials.

I just realized my error! haha, I'll be sure to include a section on the brushes in the next tutorial.
Thanks for the input!

Hmm, interesting. Whilst I do not have Photoshop ((as of yet)) I do have a similair program, and can probably fiddle around to get a similair result iff I'm lucky.
But [when] I get photoshop, this will deffinatly help.
