Description
Jed photographed by Tom Clark on the Great Salt Lake in UtahCopyrighted Image - All Rights Reserved
During the summer months when the water is receding there are sometimes small islands of salt that rise from the lake bed of the Great Salt Lake. From a distance they might appear to be small pillows of snow but on closer inspection with one's feet they prove to be extremely sharp, wholly unforgiving mounds of ouch.Β

Amazing salt piles which makeΒ for this wonderful photo's very captivating scene. Your model posed there reminds me of Moses parting the Red Sea with his staff in hand. Awesome composition!

He is kind of Moses-like isn't he? Hadn't thought of that but you're right! Next time we're out there I'm going to see if he can part the waters for me so I won't get wet. Β

Love the surreal feeling, the way the salt looks like clouds.

How did he get out there in bare legs and feet?
