This was the first time they'd ever worked together and they were perfectly in synch. Their training is serious and with Kalari it's all about harmonious movement with the person next to you. Amazing stuff.

Thank you Mr. Ropes. I drove Nicole and Andrejs two hours to the salt flats to photograph them on the salt and instead found it covered in water. I couldn't believe my good fortune when they walked out into the water and their perfect mirror reflections came shimmering back to me. What you see in this picture is what I was seeing with my eyes.
