Hey guys, I've received several print requests for this thing. I've had it as a print in my shop for quite some time now, so please drop by and check it out! [link]The image is 6'9" tall on canvas that's about 7'4" tall. Relief print with screened color and painted color (blue). This is part of my ongoing undergraduate print series that deals with the issues that children's stories/TV programs don't address. The overall notion here is that most children's programming consists of promoting good habits, good morals, good good good. However, in order for something to be understood as "good," there has to be something bad for it to contrast with. this particular print somewhat deviates from that because I simply wanted to exaggerate the "bear" part of the Care Bears.

A poster would be interesting. I'd have to rework it a bit so the clarity is better at that scale. I would like to do t-shirts, though.

Someone at my school brought this up while I was carving it. I had never seen the shirt before (not really into buying shirts online), so it kind of made me mad, since that person was bringing it up in a "you're not original" light. But then I saw it, and felt better. The Snorg shirt is very stylized and more "sport logo" in design, while I was approaching it from a realistic stance. I was also going more for shock value than cleverness here.
