Description
Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!I myself am a big fan of Star Trek, love science, participate in role play, spend way to much time on the computer and speak Japanese. I am most certainly a Geek.

Definitely a Geek Goth. I've been a nerd my whole life, and while I haven't been a goth for quite as long, I'm glad I'm a goth. In fact, I dare say that it's my dorky interests that helped me discover what goth is and allowed me to have a "gothic awakening," so to speak.

I'm a combination of a few of these stereotypes, and since people would most likely mistake for just a geek and not a Goth, I think this is one of those stereotypes.
After all, my t-shirts have cartoons on them, and my favorite character on most cartoons is the nerd.

This is so me. I love technology and finding out how it works, love science, am on my computer way to often and if not my computer, then my smartphone. I am also a big fan of TMNT, Star Wars, Star Trek, and the Big Bang Theory (I would be closest to Leonard, just a girl and all in black).

[I can agree with this to some extent.Β After all, even though I now prefer to dress dark and developed a somewhat more morbid fascination, I still love cartoons and roleplaying more than most people probably do, not to mention I still wear glasses and remember some stuff I learned in school.]

Man, that is totally me...bagpipe music, dave matthews band, siebenburgen, all on my playlists.Β LOTR, Dark Tower series, H.P. Well, I know few people (we used to play DnD together) who fits the description and they donΒ΄t feel themselves as goths at all.
But many goths reads fantasy and sci-fi stuff (including me).

I really have enjoyed your artwork andbreakdown of the different groups within our group. Just a question, but is these such a thing as a medical goth, or something along those lines? Like a doctor or in my case, a psychologist. Perhaps it isn't a style, but I find it rather amusing how I illogically creep out my college classmates in my psychology class. They think it's ironic how someone like me, who has lots of mental and emotional problems, can be a psychologist. I just smile and tell them I can empathise with my patients that way haha.

This is me in a nutshell. Big fanatic about roleplaying and fantasy and cult tv shows, love videogames and anime, and comic books (especially of the dark graphic novel variety) listen to lots of swedish metal bands that sing about LOTR and other fantasy things and even have a long purple skirt like the girl depicted here
