Description Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!

Here it is, at last, by popular demand - the Steampunk Goth I did want to write more on this one, but my Goths are getting larger and larger every time I draw them, so I'm getting less room for writing. I think they'll eventually have to break out of their 500 x 500 pixel frame.

Cool Series! Hey I want your oppinion about this; Would you count gorehop Juggalos as a goth-type? Gorehop Juggalos took ICP's murder theme and went to the extreme with it. Gorehop is like the Death Metal of rap if your will.

Heres a good gorehop artist if you wanna hear some samples of gorehop music.

This style of goth makes me think of the third "Back to the Future" you know, Jules Verne and stuff... Good movie, well, trilogy, actually We don't really have lots of different goths in our school.... they're what my friends and I call "Hot Topic Kids" because all they wear are baggy shirts and tripp pants from there... also, apparently, according to them, you're not a "qualified goth' unless if you listen to Insane Clown Posse... and I don't, so, whatever. I don't care. This is awesomeness and a half! kudos to you!

One way I've heard it described is "yesterday's tomorrow." I just love the way it sounds.

I love your Goth [stereo] type series! You've really done your homework! Hopefully some of the baby bats will learn more about the history of goth and learn to look past Hot Topic, and into their own sewing machines or Goodwill. <3

Your Goth (stereo)types are fantastic! Myself, I'd say my gothyness is in the Victorian-Medieval-Romantic range, with a bit of Geek thrown in (I am doing a degree in Japanese (and Linguistics) after all). And I'm sometimes a Mopey. Well, thanks for the great work!

Did you see the New York Times article on Steampunk? My dad saw it and he's going nuts on the idea of Steampunkify-ing our computer. O.oNot sure if it will turn out quite as expected.
PS: Emilie Autumn and Rasputina are ace!

Mademoiselle, you just, quite literally, made my day.
(Especially in that your depiction of a male is almost an exact representation of me, with the only differences being that my current jacket is black and my hair is a bit longer)
This is by far my favorite one that you've made to date; please keep them coming!

I'm not sure, but I think Fullmetal Alchemist is pretty similar to this. It kinda takes place during an alternate early 20th century and uses a bunch of technology from then. Or maybe I've just been reading it a bit too much lately...

Ahem... I like! Sci-fi from a hundred years ago was really creative and scarily realistic. The book Frankenstein was actually pretty chilling.

I'd agree with you on Fullmetal Alchemist...Steampunk crops up a lot in anime, funnily enough.

Thanks!

I love Steampunk! I wouldn't consider Emilie Autumn very steampunk, then again, it's hard to decide where she fits in. I do have her on my steampunk playlist, so who am I to argue? Abney Park are marvelous and Vernian Process is very good background music when tinkering.. Besides, I don't leave the house without my pocket watch.
Great job! I love the whole Goth series!

Other Steampunk-y deviants worth a mention:
(<- very nice things there)
