Description
Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!Cyber fashion's really very cool, but tends to be too expensive

I don't think its true when you say cyber goths are the least liked even by other goths. In Toronto we have Dark Rave, which is a goth culture party and there are both goths and cyber goths.

My friends starting to be a cyber goth(She used to be a rivet-head).. sucks cause I have to see all those neon colors.. But at least it's still somewhere in the gothic community..

I think you should of chosen different colors besides orange; AKA 80s neon turned cyberpunk.
Besides that, I always thought cybergoth fashion was interesting. The goggles, the neon, the multiple hair colors, etc. However, I won't be wearing such things; except maybe for the glasses/goggles.
I'll just stick to clothing/styles found in Cyberpunk 202 and Akira (or just create my own style) for any special events.

I've been trying to find my self lately, and have been exploring subcultures and ways of thinking, I looked at scene and typically styles with neon colors, (like ravers)Personally i have to say i like this style the best it marries future,neon,dark,and goggles ( i love goggles) and i think i might try this one out, the only issue is, i don't act like a cyber goth I'm really into geeky kinda things : like Pokemon,spore,and internet fads, and i'm more into the visual arts.I even have kinda a god complex. Do you think i should do something between Geek and cyber? Appreciate the help.

Yes, you can totally do that. It might difficult though, but just be yourself and have your own edge to your style. You sound like, to me, you have the scene personality. They look cool and are into neons and all that stuff, but are geeks on the inside. They're all pokemon, dinosaur, anime and cartoon fans. Most are into the arts, especially photography.

As a cybergoth myself I'd say there were some definite aspects of goth in there but maybe not anything traditional - you see falls and goggles, as well as the Demonia/Transmuter platforms at clubs all the time.

Well.. Although I dont like most of the goth-types, my less favourite types is the Cyber-goth, the music is horrible, and the cloths are extremely 'show-off' and to colorful for my taste... This is an horrible fashion.

My boyfriend's a cyber goth...he carries glowsticks with him wherever he goes!!! he has this really pretty purple lava lamp-ish one that he bought for me.

LOL I'm a *big* Industrial fan but I've never understood why you should dress like this to express what you listen to (and believe in, for me and a few friends of mine). Especially because I have tactile and executive function issues, and a taste for witty/scientific tee slogans, and thus dress pretty much like a "generic geek", even the glasses are there. Plus, I have long hair and I'm a lesbian, so everybody is completely clueless about me. WTF dresscodes.

You are quite right, how you dress shouldn't really reflect what you listen to - you should dress how you like! But as I said, these are stereotypes rather than true reflections on reality, and most goths aren't as two-dimensional as this!

Yeah. But most "normal" people are! They can be surprisingly shallow: there was the time when I was walking down the street, meeting a dog, then I noticed it has a human... and the human looked at my arms and told me I was emo... without a trace of a doubt, lol.
