Description
Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!Cyber fashion's really very cool, but tends to be too expensive

I was thinking more along the lines of EBM and futurepop (VNV Nation, Covenant, Front 242, Front Line Assembly etc.) but I've certainly heard of Cyber Goths liking a lot of other electronic and dance, including Juno Reactor.

Cyber-Goth is one of my favorites, but I agree, the clothes are way to expensive. I'm beginning to wonder if you'll mention the 'Hot Topic- Goth' or the 'Poseurs', just because they are the bane of so many Goths' existences XD

I might do, but I plan to show them in a more positive light than they normally get (i.e. how are they any more pretentious than any other goths??)

I think it's just that 'normal' goths don't see them devoting themselves to the persona, just wearing the clothes to get attention and listening to 'fake' bands like Good Charlotte and My Chemical Romance, not the eighties Goth music, metal, or industrial.

I'd say I'd have to disagree with that - plenty of goths listen to the "proper goth" stuff simply to justify their choice of fashion.

A lot of it's based in hypocrisy, I guess. After all, wouldn't most 'proper Goths' have to start out like the 'poseurs'? o_O
