Description
Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!Because my family runs a shop [link] that sells a lot of Celtic/Gothic jewellery, incense, candles and the like, we get a lot of Hippy Goth types in. And they are generally some of the nicest and most interesting people you'll ever meet.
As with all my work, please DON'T steal this! If you want to use it for whatever purposes, email me and ask me first.

Dude... I'm a A* student when it comes to the human diet. We eat meat to obtain 'Protein' which is necessary for cell repair and growth, there are alternatives that can still provide protein, such as eggs, tofu and quorn. It's not the meat we essentially need, it's just the protein, we need a balanced diet to remain healthy, and my diet is highly balanced without meat because there is alternatives for vegetarians. So by my logic my argument is pretty much VALID. If you want to preach against a group of people who don't have a healthy lifestyle you better start nit-picking at people who pretty much gorge on red meats, large amounts of red meats can cause heart disease and high cholesterol.Β

I'm saying that what you're doing isn't any healthier than people who gorge on large amounts of meat.

Do your research, you eat meat because you need PROTEIN however there are ALTERNATIVES LIKE TOFU, QUORN AND EGGS THAT CAN PROVIDE ME WITH PROTEIN. I am very healthy, infact i'm taking my 'young leaders' qualification next year which is a nationally recognised in the UK and is to do with sports.Β

I've done enough research to know its more than just the protein. It is the way the meat fibers combine with the minerals. The doctors will tell you you're fine. They always do so you let yourself go. Omnivores need both. Being an omnivore doesn't mean you get to choose one or the other. You need a little bit of both. And if you're justifying it because animals die for the food...they die for each other all of the time including for omnivorous animals. If you're such the Wiccan you'd be close enough to animals and nature to know that you need meat and you have to do what you have to do. We have not evolved to not need meat. That's like saying we have evolved to no longer need a sex drive. Yeah, you can ignore it and do other things but not exerting it in the long run causes problems. I'm not someone who gorges on large meats daily. I refuse to eat bacon, steak, sea food, etc. I often eat nuts and tofu. I don't think that meat is the only thing with protein in it, but I eat meat at least once a day because a little bit of meat is necessary. We've been eating meat since before we even developed formal languages. What makes you think we have magically stopped needing it now? Both are equally as important as the other. I was a vegetarian for a short period of time. I ate what was supposed to be the proper protein portions and I rapidly lost weight to the point of almost looking shriveled. I began almost hardly eating small bits of food because it was all I could handle and I developed a bunch of health problems. I know for a fact I had what was considered the proper vegetarian diet, but I was shriveled and deprived. I was in direct denial of it too. As I grew closer with nature I realised I needed meat and that eating meat in proper portions is healthy and necessary. I gained the proper amount of weight and began eating more and not feeling so anorexic. Much of my health improved. You might not notice the issue as much as you may not have an immune impairment, but I have had digestive issues since I was a small child. While many heavy meats do not agree with me, an all vegetarian diet was the worst decision I ever made and a lot worse than anything I ever experienced with any heavy steak. I am not the only person who has followed the vegetarian and or vegan diet and had extreme issues. Those of us with naturally healthier bodies notice the issues less in young age, but over time it will drag you down.

If you think I am of poor health, check out my youtube videos of myself : brokendollproduction. Do I look ill to you? The only time I seriously lost weight was when I was suffering stress and I literally didnt eat anything for weeks. The vegetarian lifestyle is healthy, and this 'vegetarian approved' bullshit is literally bullshit.. you want to know what I mostly ate? I mostly lived on a shit load of vegetables, it wasn't until I turned 10/11 that I started eating alternative/fake meats. I eat alot of fruit and veg and I excercise alot, I can assure you I am very healthy, the only thing destroying my health is smoking.

I don't look ill at all and I have an auto immune disorder. Looks are deceiving. Sometimes issues don't show up for years and then they just hit you. Be wary my friend. And that smoking might be something you wanna address. I eat tofu burgers, nutty smoothies, and many other things, but I still need a little meat to survive. The problem most people have with meat is that most meats come from factories with chemicals being pumped into it to preserve it. I try to purchase the most natural brands possible that treat animals with the least amount of torment including milk, butter, cheese, and other cream products. I don't carelessly stuff myself with red meats. Pork chops, most steaks, and many chickens especially fried disgust me. I'm not obsessive with meat. I just recognize that small amounts of natural meats are necessary and good for the body...and sometimes I secretly eat Asian sesame chicken or cheeseburgers when no one is looking. lol ^_^ The only problem is most of us invest in heavy meats when we need to just live off the land with gentle meats. Also, I'd like go add that some of the minerals you get from the blood that flavors meats cannot be replaced with pills. That would be like me saying I can completely replace fruits and veggies from my diet if I take fruit/veggie pills in combination with fiber pills. It isn't the same. You still need the fruit and veggies just like you still need a little bit of meat. We just don't need quite as much meat as fruit and veggies.

I've never taken vitamins and the smoking issue is around to stay, it's really helped me cope and I dont smoke like a chimney, I usually smoke 2 a day five times a week.

Any smoking is dangerous and cannot be justified. Β Meditation is a great way to calm your nerves. You don't need to do it for hours if you don't have time, but even just 10-30 minutes a day can improve oxygen intake, clarity, and tolerance to relaxing more. Β Yoga helps with that too. Even someone who has an all fruit and veggie diet still needs vitamins. Β It's a little worse because I have problems digesting certain foods and need extra vitamins, but everyone needs a little bit more Β than just the fruit or veggies they eat. Β If I ate enough of them to actually absorb half of what I need I'd eat half of the produce stand and be projectile pooping. XD

Anti-depressants don't help. Β The only thing that fixes depression is fixing what is causing your depression in the first place which is something you've got to do. I'm not saying it's easy, but it's the only solution.

I know it doesnt help in the long run.. but apparently they'll help with my 'urges' if you understand that.. And my problem is uncurable.. mostly.

Aneirasilvermoon In reply to LaraTheKitsuneCub [2013-07-22 04:39:28 +0000 UTC]
Actually, anti-depressants can make you gain weight (which makes you more depressed), can promote depressed or suicidal thoughts (ironic eh?), and cause various imbalances in the body which can make you feel much worse and far more depressed. Β Every time you get an urge that's when you need to look at cat videos on youtube. Β I know it sounds stupid, but it really helps. Β I used to get depressed a lot all throughout childhood and teen years and it even happens a lot now if I'm alone I get very lonely. Β I look at something cute, adorable, exciting, or touching. Β Also, if you have pets snuggle them. Β What worked for me is when I felt the urge to die I would look my cat in the eyes and think what would he/she think if I was gone forever? How deeply would it hurt him/her and how much would he/she suffer without me and it stopped me long enough to realise it wasn't worth it and wouldn't solve the problem. Β If something is causing your depression. The best thing you can do is try your hardest to find the source of your depression and fix it. Most people think they are depressed and don't know why, but this is because they never dug deep enough to learn the cause. Β When I dug deep enough I realised it was my loneliness, and my desire to snuggle.

They're not even goths, really. they're emokids... baby bats or whatever you call it. I don't even think that baby bats are this bad. Most of them do it and give it up later, but at least they know more about goths than BLACK AND MCR BAWWWW
