After a lengthy summer break, the comic is back on track! It took me weeks to figure out the right camera angles and actions on each panel, not to mention the dialogs... but at least we finally have a digestible page as a result. :3 The backgrounds may not be perfect, the pony proportions are messed up some places, but it's close enough.
The system Octavia is explaining is based a loot distribution system that we applied in my old guild (not invented by us, we just used it).

Ok I was hooked on Lyra Hartstrings the moment I came across it. I must admit that Ponies with hats got me diggin Lyra, then I found this. My Lyra addiction keeps getting fed. Keep up the good story line.

Holy cow! I'm new to deviant art and found your comic on accident. i immediately hunted down the first issue and steamrolled through all of them to now. This is amazing! I know that Lyra is a fan made pony but most of the stuff i find on her is generic to what i already knew, but your comic gives her the depth i was looking for, as well as for other ponies i was curious about. Did you create any of them or are you just a genius at this?

Well, for most of the characters I used whatever canon features were known, and many fanon features that were already out there, then mixed them with my ideas. Some lesser known characters required way more of course, but the ponies whom we saw this far (except the clones/agents) are canon ponies, in the sense that they appeared in the show at least once.

your point system sounds and awful lot like the old DKP system many WoW guilds (everquest before that) use to use. was a flawed loot system then might still be here but im sure pony's arent as greedy as we human are... right?

oh wow i feel dumb didnt even see i got a response to this comment. sorry for the very late reply. but its hard to put how it's a flawed system into text (im not a good speller/ writer) but for the most part the system rewared ppl that have been around the longest vs. ppl that need the the money (or gear in my case). in my case i didnt care to work on progression because i knew being new to the guild meant i was not ganna get any loot till way later. i even stoped showing up on progression nights cuz i didnt see a point. whial the ppl with the most dkp just sat back and let the loot role in because they knew no one could compet with them in dkp. it was also bad for teh guild cuz it slowed progress cuz player A got that new ring and whent from 103 dps to 104 dps whereas Player B could have gone from 81 dps to 93 dps.
now i know that don't directly apply to music and concerts but that basics are the same this person is new and great but cant play at gigs because the veteran member keeps taking them. and because the veteran member get payed the most for the gigs he has more time to help out the guild and get more "points" whereas the new guy might have to get a second job to make sure ends meet, witch reduces how much he can help the guild and earn "points" to spend on gigs.
now im not saying i know a way to fix this but so dont ask me for a better method.

Because Tavi forgot to mention (or rather, I did) the point decay. Which involves decreasing the points of all members periodically by a certain percentage. Being a member alone also doesn't give points, only actual participation so ponies who need money would participate more.
Without that you are absolutely right, but with that I believe it's a relatively fair system. According to Symphony of course, who's known for loving to fiddle with numbers.

Using magic and knowing/understanding it is two different things quite often. :3 But even so, her reaction would be surprise, since this is a very rare kind of magic, but not entirely unknown (like BonBon noted one time).
Also, we (the viewers) can often see things that ponies can't or see differently, like the case of the "clones", fromΒ a couple of pages back. :3

If those were to appear/materialized in a bright golden color, they wouldn't be anywhere near that frightening.

Why? Hands aren't as much of a curiosity as most fanons think they are. This world has monkeys, minotaurs and other beings with arms, so for them magic arms would be nothing more than a cool spell.

So, how important i this information about the guild exactly? It seems a bit irrelevant.
You see, to me this sounds like the kind of stuff I would want to know if I was playing a video game, it tells me the ins and outs of the system, and how to navigate it.
In a comic though, it feels like a wall of text.
