What is going on? Where did they come from? What are they really? Why am I asking so many questions? Will I ever answer them? Stay tuned to find out!

I've built a new filter in Inkscape for the fonts, this one looks way better than the previous try. Will fix the previous page at some point too. :3
Out of the backgrounds that you see on this page, the sharper ones are the ones that I vectored (using screenshots), the not-so-sharp ones are direct screenshots from the show (on the last panel, there were originally just 2 ponies :3). So as always, all credits go to the animator team. :3

These aren't animation errors. The artists are just too lazy to come up with enough different background ponies, so they like to reuse the same character models many times.

Maybe ponies' tell each other apart from scent instead of looks. Now all I can imagine is Lyra randomly sniffing BonBon all the time.

In this universe they rely primarily on their eyesight, so e.g. Cheerilee couldn't tell the real BonBon from the impostor. Lyra's sense of smell is better than a normal pony's too for some reason, so she can pick up the tiniest differences too. (even though a normal pony's sense of smell is way better than that of a normal human being.)
