Description
Just an experimental design with many elements borrowed from an earlier unpublished design. Logo of the L.E.C. made and added on MS Paint.-----
Introduced in 2039 during the early days of the Age of Exploration (2030's-2098) by the Lunar Expeditionary Company, the Mk. 39 was popularized for being a cheap weapon and for being chambered in the common 7.62x39mm round of the AK series of rifles (and using its banana and drum mags). Developed to be used in low to no oxygen environments, the Mk. 39 preformed perfectly in these areas, cementing its role in early expeditionary parties. Using high grade metals and polymers helped allow it to better survive hostile environments was considered a great advantage, allowing for the rifles to take tremendous amounts of abuse. By 2043 the Pump-Action Rifle was manufactured to accept several other common rounds. They were designated by the type of round; a rifle chambered for the 5.56x45mm NATO round would be designated 5.56mmAR Pump-Action Rifle, or one chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO or 7.62x54mmR would be called 7.62mmNATO (or RUS) PUmp-Action Rifle.

No. The problem with automatic firearms in a zero-oxygen environment (especially gas-operated weapons) is that after 1-3 rounds the gas can't cycle, meaning the weapon will stop working

Nope. Best case scenario you can pop off a few rounds before the action fails

Or lever-action, or break action, or a revolver, something that doesn't feed using a gas system

I forgot about bolt-action, but yes, anything that relies more on mechanical reloading should work

just plug up the gas block and you'll have a straight pull back bolt action, yugo sks's that have the rifle grenade sight can be flipped up to block the gas from the gas block activating the action.
