I'm so sorry I bugged you about it. I figured out the problem- I had the elliptical marquee set to feather 3 px. Sorry again that I bothered you.

I use the poligonal lace under the elliptical marque tool and add the triange presing the first time shift and then drawing a triangular form that ends in the first place i press, another way to do the little tail.

itΒ΄s something missed in the tutorial in my opinion and thatΒ΄s... How comics drawers make those long curves tails!? I donΒ΄t know how to do a curve in photoshop -- in a not manual way, thatΒ΄s it-- and the ones I see looks completedly computer generated>_< The tutorial is really good I was just joking^^ Bye men.

Why not just use the "custom shape tool" to make a speech bubble? I'm quite sure that one comes with CS, and it definitely comes with CS 2, probably 7 as well. You can adjust the size and shape of it quite easily, then just stroke the path, and delete the path with the pen tool. Hardly any effort at all. If you really need to adjust the shape further, you can just use transformations.

Uberzers In reply to IHMPCYPAWB [2006-09-22 05:24:15 +0000 UTC]

i used to use those tranformations but they always cause me problems. like one. the tail would only extend on one side and not the other. I'm happy with the way I do these ones anyways.

Really? I just use the pre-made buubles in the custom shape window...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Uberzers In reply to Narsilion [2006-09-22 05:25:29 +0000 UTC]

i did. but then the tail would only extend on one end. But you dont have to follow it. Im just showing how i do it. And i find this way quite easy.

Narsilion In reply to Uberzers [2006-09-22 23:19:11 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I'm not saying I don't like your way! I was just saying how I usually do mine.. as for the tail thing, I just flip the bubble over so it goes the right way. Sorry about the misunderstanding! XD

smartazzjester [2006-09-21 18:38:25 +0000 UTC]

Nice tut Just a suggestion for the tails though.. you can use the Polygonal Lasso tool to make the triangular shape of your tail and fill it with the Paint Bucket the same way on the same layer. Itll give you perfectly straight edges.

I don't like to create bubbles by photoshop, if i have to be honest. Even if i do them with pen and ink and they don't look so perfect-oval i can create them just how i like and express emotions, which chaperone the utterance.
But tutorial isn't bad anyway . Nice ;].
