How I colour characters etc...please download if you can't see it/ or it's slow!
I don't know if to call this a tutorial, so I couldn't settle between "I'm doing like this" and "You do like this" phrases XD
check out this tutorial for SAI TOOLS if you are a beginner with the program >>

it's my way of colouring, you're not obligated to follow sit strictly/ do it like you would do it and help yourself from some parts

I use 2 BRUSH tools slightly different from each other by settings in almost anything;
when you make a new layer, you have somewhere a setting called : blend mode ; when you click it, a list appears and you just have to choose from there
I said 'somewhere' because it depends of how you have arranged your tools and such.

So ugh, I have a question.
All the base colors and the shadings of the skin were done in one layer? Or maybe you each colored them in different layers and then merge them together, and then blended it? Or if it was colored in different layers, you just merged them together and nothing else was modified..?
I really love your coloring because of the 'painty' feel. (that really didn't sound right)
