"Sorry for the pity party... I don't wanna ruin the mood." Velkan slurred his speech a little. Most of the empty glasses on the bar belonged to him and even though it took him longer due to his wolf metabolism, he was getting increasingly drunk. However, it failed to cheer him up, quite the opposite.

"Look at me," he muttered. "My friend closed his pub for me, I'm drunk in the afternoon, I have no boyfriend... but hey, a new haircut. What was I thinking? Changing my hair. New me. Bullshit."

Richard and Castor exchanged glances. The Kelpie leaned against the bar after he had pulled the latest pint.

"Thanks, mate, you're a true friend." Velkan took a sip. "I'm sorry, guys, really... I'm pathetic."

"Will you stop?" Castor said with an empathetic smile. "Look, I know, it hurts but we're here for you whatever you want to do."

"We should go to Old Compton Street and hit a club. Find some bloke I can shag."

"Do you want that?" Richard out a hand on Velkan's back. "It's still early, but I'm sure we'll find a place which is open."

"No." Velkan shook his head. "I don't want that. I want to sit here and get pissed out of my mind."

"Then we'll do that," Castor smirked and Richard nodded in agreement, both happy to humour their hurting friend. "I'll go see what's in the fridge, I think there's some leftover chilli."

It was going to be a long day.

I know the rain effect isn't new since I have done it before but it was so fitting for the mood. This is a bit of a spoiler and also part one of a two-part picture showing how Velkan and Jon each deal with the fact that their relationship hit a wall. I'm feeling kinda cruel putting this out there like that but I'm really proud of the picture, too First glimpse of "Folklores", Castor's pub in Highgate, though the design may be subject to change.
