Description
Aaaaaand another tutorial for you all! This time it's for a yummy clay corn dog! And also I remembered what many of you had commented on my last tutorial (that the font was a little hard to read) so I took that into consideration this time and picked a better looking font.Oh! And I forgot to add but if you wanted to add ketchup or mustard to the corn dog (I usually don't eat mine with that so maybe that's why I forgot haha) you can just take some TLS and mix it with red or yellow acrlyic paint or eyeshadow. Then just use a knife to put a little bit of it on the corn dog.
Thank you all so much for viewing my tutorial and I hope that I was able to help!

What type of clay are you using? I'm unfamiliar with TLS, is it a regional product of some sort or just a different brand of polymer? I ask because you mention freezing/cooling the clay, but not baking! I'd be interested to try working with something I didn't have to put in the oven.

The clay that I'm using in this tutorial is regular polymer clay. I don't use TLS in the tutorial, but it's the same thing as polymer clay but in liquid form (it's good for making drinks or whipped cream)
When I say to put the clay into the fridge/freezer that's just so that the clay doesn't smudge. Usually if I try to cut canes, or in this case the corndog, when the clay is warm the insides smudge together. But if I put it in the freezer it usually doesn't!
But with polymer clay it doesn't completely harden it if you put it in the freezer, so you still have to bake it!

I had been wondering why you were putting it in the freezer! Thanks for the tip! If I'm ever making something with "insides", so to speak, I'll have to remember that! I had just been wondering about that part, and you've explained it well.

I agree with you I bought water base acrylics and they work just fine with PC but they do take a bit longer to dry

Can you actually mix TLS with acrylic paint? I've always read that it has to be oil colors, which makes sense, because TLS is polymer (immiscible with water) and acrylic paint is a water-based paint. I've never tried to mix acrylics in. It doesn't affect it in baking, either?

No, it doesn't have to be just oil based colors! I've done that for baking many times and the colors weren't affected for me. But if you still feel a little wary about using acrylic paints, or any paints, I suggest mixing in eyeshadow instead. It may sound a little odd but it works great!

I've tried using acrylics, and though I am rather new to TLS, it seemed to work just fine! ^_^
