Description
commission for =timing2this image is probably the most detailed i made since iΒ΄m into digital painting.lots of the detail would have been impossible without =charfade Β΄s excellent leaves and veggie brushpack [link]
this took me many hours to finish- and i could keep on painting... i would like to know by myself whats inside that hollow log and which way the group of adventurers is going to take...

I can full understand why you said it took so long, yikes thats alot of detail.
As for which way they are going? For their sake hopefully to the closest portal to another world, that place is DANGEROUS! As for the hollow log, its probably like every other cave...

I absolutely love how this looks dude just from seeing this I kind of get a sense of the atmosphere of trudging through the forests exploring as they find new things and see the different creatures the lighting you did exceptionally well on and the detail is amazing! I also noticed that owl hidden in the shadows that's a nice touch to the night life of Felarya I would LOVE to see what else you made.

Vaghauk In reply to ScottPurdy [2010-10-15 10:40:53 +0000 UTC]
oh thanks, scott !! - its really very dark ... the other day i watched my gallery on an laptop from an friend and i found that images looked strange - flat and weird... but when i show them on my big lcd tv-screen all my gallery looks like painted by someone else ! - all these colors....i dont even see on my pc-screen.its one of the mysteries of digital painting- i still dont understand well- stuff looks different depending on screensΒ΄n stuff.i guess for printing its needed to give more lightness to most of the digital paintings... i printed some images last year and it came out all too dark.

Naahh I don't get it either.. there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice out there.
I know my work prints a little washed out compared to what it looks like on screen.... meh, who knows what's going on

we are probably better off not knowing.-nowadays everybody got an flashlight and night-vision inside the telephone - if its to dark or something they can always use that.and in no-time everybody wants us to paint in three-dee (we are going to paint with both hands-each painting from an different angle!) and people will refuse to look at our images without three-dee-googles anyway.youΒ΄ll see.
