You mentioned alot of good things in this tutorial. I fail badly at color theory, but as you explained in your previous tutorial, it is difficult to choose colors in PS (I always thought I was just that bad, but I think it is easier in CorelPainter to pick colors).
Putting things together in an image is still a big weakness of mine. Some elements always look out of place. I especially fail at picking the right colors for landscapes, trees and other vegetations.
Also, would you ever consider making a whole tutorial about drawing trees and forests? The method I use is taking me way too long and never gets the desired effect. Drawing a single tree is not that difficult for me (anymore), but drawing a forest is completely different from that. And I can only find a few good tutorials explaining how to draw a single well defined tree, not a forest in an image.

Um... right now I'm doing only tutorials about color. I've published the list as follows:
-Color depth.
-How to know the natural color of things.
-Color depending on material.
I'm doing the first one when the poll fills. Also I was planing on design a flash app to make simulation of atmospheres.
About what you say that is very specific problem, and doesn't really get along with the color issue, so I'm afraid that the only way we could do this is by comission, I'm sorry

I am looking forward to that one. Might be helpful in my case, since like I said, I am terrible with colors.
ALso, the second one sounds very interesting. Actually all sound very interesting and helpful, because they cover issues I always have problems with, but about such things you just cannot find any tutorials, neither here nor anywhere on the net where I looked.
That's sad. I was hoping to finally find a tutorial about landscapes that could help me solve my problems.
About commissioning, I would consider it, but I am so desperately low on money, that I myself have to take commissions to survive the month.
Unless you would take dA Points for a small Step-by-Step or something. I have about 400. Not much, but all I have.^^

You are absolutly not terrible with colors, you are pretty good!
Well I wrote 500 points for small comisions but if you want we can do it for what you say (but don't tell enybody!!!)

You think? I really am trying my best, although I never understood color theory completely, never got past the primary complementary colors^^'. It seems like sunset scenes work better for me colorwise. I seem to be better with reds and purple and pinkish colors. But it would be boring to only draw with those.
8D Really? Thanks. And I won't tell anyone
Just tell me when you have time to work on it and I will send you the points right away. If I happen to get a few more in the meantime I will send you that as well.

vandervals In reply to T0xicEye [2011-04-04 18:46:03 +0000 UTC]
I may start it today and finish it in the next 1-2 days hopefully
And something more... if you always do sunsets... when I do the tutorial for you do you want me to use sunset atmospheres for the samples???
π: 0 β©: 1
T0xicEye In reply to vandervals [2011-04-04 20:33:33 +0000 UTC]
Alright, should I send you the points right away then?
I think sunset atmosphere is ok. I love sunsets and I guess the same technique applies for normal daylight scenes.
Unless you think it's better to make it a normal daylight atmosphere.

It is similar, yes, and if you are gona keep drawing sunsets... I can talk a little about greens too.
The points, you can wait untill it is done if you want
