This little guide I whipped up in 3 and half hours(actually took less considering small breaks and stuff I took) gives some insight on how I tackle making scratch sprites.

It should say "shade in your prefered style" as opposed to "shade in your style," but I was rushing a bit so I could come post it here.

Shading style is based on a mix of Pokemon D/P and G/S(hence the heavy use of dithering). It actually turned out rather nice, considering the program I was using was different than what I normally use to make sprites(KRR Oekaki as opposed to MS Paint). Well, in hindsight all it did was slow me down a bit. XD
