Thank you so much! This is so helpful and would help for sure for me with creating shipping OCs. I also noticed that many people put weird markings. That make interesting OCs but it's silly like if one parent has a red coat and the other has a blue then that doens't mean they should have like red or blue markings or colored hooves and such. It looks ridiculousΒ on some OCs and more ridiculous if neither parents have them. It can work for Zecora shipping adoptables though I admit. And like another person said, I don't think ponies have vitiligo. XD
I actually want that Fluttershy X RD OC. I'd adopt it for free if I could. Though I'm sure I can't get it for free or get it at all. XD

I see so many shipping adopts that don't follow this and they end up Β with ponies that have colors that don't go together. I am never interested in those kinds of adopts but it is very hard to find any good ones. More people need to follow this or any of the few other tutorials that are like this.Β
I am still not sure how shipping adopts are supposed to work when both parents are of the same gender, it just throws me off.

Β I also want to add, if one of the parents has eyeglasses (I don't have an example, but I know there are some ponies), the offspring doesn't have too. Eye problems aren't passed down. (That would be horrible! XD)

I agree with this. People always put some weird markings, it's like saying your dad is black and your mom is white, then you have black feet and white arms (unless it's vitiligo, but I don't think that disorder is included in genes.)

it could be partial none at all or completely. it just depends on how the genes are passed.
