How to use bezier curves in Blender 2.55 betaBlender: [link]
As always, ask me for help if you don't understand something!
Happ Holidays everyone!
EDIT: Over in the right-hand window, make sure "2D" is selected, it's easier to work with. Also, when closing out curves, make sure the last point is selected

Hi! Nice tutorial and easy to follow. Don't you happen to know if there is a way to export 2D bezier curves to .svg?

I really have never tried it, nor do I know if it could be done Sorry! It would be useful, I love Blender's beziers a lot more than dicking around in GIMP or Inkscape.

Haha! Thank you, and you're quite welcome! It could be done with meshes, but this is certainly a good alternative

Very, very nice. Just what I was looking for (3D Superman Logo to use in a wedding video). I just can't figure out how to select both control points when I try to vector the curve! Argh.

Excellent tut on curves added to my favs for further review and practice. Curves may be one of the most useful tools in blender, but often times one of the most overlooked and UNDER used as well.
(especially for newbs like myself). I wished I had read this before I did my maltese cross... [link] would have been much easier than extruding, twisting and resizing planes!
Can I request a tut?
I am working on an antique tractor, and the rear tires are giving me fits! I have tried the curve modifier, and had "somewhat" success, but not complete success, I am stumped, especially on figuring out how to figure the proper length to make my mesh before applying it to the bezier circle.
I currently use blender 2.56 beta

Thanks for the very nice comment! Unfortunately, I am very new to Blender and am pretty much posting things as I learn them. A car/car tire is a little ways off for me, but I do know of the one from Andrew Price that is pretty good: [link] I hope you haven't tried that one already, as I don't know of any other that work as well Good luck!

Thanks for the help though... will continue the quest for perfection...it's what i TRY to do, lmao!
