This small and portable utility has been created by AskVG reader "Masroor Aijaz aka JX Great" which provides Windows 8 look-like Metro Task Manager in Windows XP, Vista and 7.

You can replace it manually i think.Make a backup of taskmgr.exe in C:\WINDOWS\system32.Then rename this program to taskmgr.exe then drag it into the C:\WINDOWS\System32 directory.See if that works.

I think the default taskmanager is much better (more options)
It's better for slow computers (no additional program) and for good computers (more options & more things in it...) so a patch to make the W7 task manager look a bit like in W8 would be great

I totally agree with ~djeos546, it would be perfect if someone would edit the original "taskmgr.exe" to something like Win8's.

Small iconless advertisment link - that's unexpected.
I want to believe that those are only screenshot compression artifacts on expand button *cough* also still if it refers to other application rather than actually expanding in-app section, link label would seem more suitable for that.

Works fine. A click on more details opens the original taskmanager. Good stuff.
