Description     This scene takes place decades after the events of S9. At that point, most of Twilight's friends would be fairly old. Twilight herself is pregnant and still continues to write to Celestia despite the latter being retired for several years, having compiled enough entries to fill seven books. Normally, she would keep the lights on when reading, but she wants privacy and only uses the glow of her aura to read.

    -    You may notice that she is surrounded with objects: a basket of fresh apples, a book about rare magical beasts, a box of frosted chocolates, a pendant with a rhombus sapphire, and a miniscuplture of the Mane 6 made of clouds. Obviously, they're gifts from the rest of the Mane 6, and at the moment they're all still kicking around. Twilight treasures them, and she even kept some recipes of Pinkie's best sweets because they remind her of their friendship.

    -    The slow transformation from "normal horse body" to "Celestia proportions" took decades and is still ongoing. Twilight described the process, and is sorely disappointed by the changes.

        -    She initially thought that this change to her body would be graceful and not too cumbersome. Turns out it's better described as Puberty^2. Within 5 years of her coronation, Twilight got a nasty case of acne that brought deep-seated memories of her late 10s that she did not ask for. 2 years later, the acne got so bad Twilight wore a mask over her muzzle and she frequented the nearest pharmacy for creams. Her legs also grew quite quickly, so much that she changed beds 3 times in 2 months. Thank goodness the voice changes came last.

        -    Then it turned out she really was reliving puberty, a much slower and more severe one at that. Apparently, attaining what was essentially godhood flipped a switch on several genes, causing them to reinstate the various processes driving puberty with a vengeance. But it's much more extensive than that. When studying it, Twilight found that the telomeres capping her DNA are not only much longer than they used to be, but are also capable of regenerating, and her long bones have developed new epiphyseal plates that keep the bone growing for much longer than usual for a pony, particularly in her leg bones. On the bright side, Twilight is currently researching this phenomenon and the magic spurring the new state of being, and is developing technology to help creatures live longer and healthier.

        -    Even after Twilight grew into her tall, gangly Celestia-esque stature, she's not quite done changing. Her violet streaks are fading to blue and cyan, and her magenta highlights have already changed to a bright orchid color, which Twilight first noticed when she cut her mane shorter a few months ago.

        -    And even then her new body isn't quite the same as Celestia's. Hers had graceful proportions, a long, pear-shaped head with a tapering muzzle, a slender neck + legs that curved gently, and her hooves are proportional, if a little small, for her legs. Twilight is noticeably more awkward looking, with big dinnerplate hooves, somewhat knobby joints that only got more visible as time passed, and long, stick-straight legs and a matching neck that looks a little too thin to support her rectangular head. Thankfully, the pregnancy hid the more gangly parts of her limbs, if only temporarily.

    -    Twilight put off kids for a while. It's not that she wasn't interested, she was just busy running Equestria. But now that many of her friends are turning old at the same time she was reliving puberty, Twilight decided to consider trying early. I mean, immortal or not, Twilight's going to outlive any friends she makes by a margin of millennia. Celestia looked exactly the same today as she did when banishing Sombra 1000 years ago. Her only constant companion are the other princesses and Spike, and even Spike isn't quite as long-lived as an alicorn. But if Flurry Heart is of any indication, any kids Twilight will have would also be as long-lived as Twilight.

    -    As for the rest of the Mane 6, they're doing fine.

        -    AJ and Rainbow Dash are married and live together; the former is the current head of both of her grandparents' farms, and the latter is a star Wonderbolt. Rainbow Dash is also training classes of Wonderbolt students, including Silverstream, and the couple donate to humanitarian efforts in Griffonstone.

        -    Pinkie and Cheese have like, 11 kids and are expecting more. They're definitely the type to have a butt ton of kids. Pinkie also runs the Cakes' bakery, and mentors the Cake Twins.

        -    Rarity is a successful businesswoman and fashion designer with stores in Canterlot, Manehatten, Fillydelphia, and other cities. She also has 3 foals who are half-siblings, and she works with Yona and Sandbar as apprentices.

        -    Fluttershy is a veterinarian and animal caretaker, who's also dating Discord and travelling to faraway places to help with animal conservation efforts.

        -    Sometimes, Twilight visits them to have some fun time with them. Usually, she leaves the work for her team of advisors for the weekend.

    -    And on that note, Twilight is also involved in a lot technological development. Apart from working on anti-aging tech, Twilight also created a magical portal system all over Equestria, and led team efforts to create a communications system to accompany it. Rumor has it that she's also trying to research the new field of robotics, particularly the integration of magic into machinery.

On a more meta note, I've watched MLP:FIM since I was 10-11. I remember finishing seasons 1-5, then dropping off in the middle of S6. I did keep touch, reading up on newer seasons every few months, watching episodes here and there, and checking out a bunch fan content the whole time. I was disappointed with S9, especially with major characters dropping their character development for cheap drama, but the last episode gave me feels. I still miss the show, despite not watching it frequently anymore. Sometimes I wonder how long it'll take before FIM becomes "old" to people.

Great, writing this made me sad.

Edit: reworded some stuff, changed the number of kids Rarity has
