Oh that Pompey... doing something illegal again. His entire political career is dubious, but that makes him a cool figure. Rebel without a cause!
I love the expression of Magnus especially in the second and fourth picture.
Really looking forward to the rest of this - you uploaded this one pretty quickly after the last one, by the way! How long have you been working on it?

Yes, he did have a somewhat unorthodox career! He became Consul without even being in the Senate! Highly illegal, yet no one stopped him! Thank goodness Caesar overshadowed him in the end!
I've benn working on this page the last four or five days, but since I have some time off work that is how I have been able to spend so much time on it. Hopefully I'll be able to get a couple more pages done before I get busy and back to work again!

Luckily Caesar did! Pompey appears very arrogant in McCulloughs books, but it is hinted that he was very insecure at the same time. Are you going to draw his desastrous victory tour, with the elephants that didn't fit trough the gates of Rome?
After Caesar and Aurelia, Sulla must be my favourite character. He is such an evil man, a real badass! I think he'll get a small role though, since your comic is about Caesar, but cool in any way.

I do indeed plan to draw his debacle with the elephants, although I have lots to cover before I reach that!!
I am a big fan of Sulla too (though not as big a fan as I am of Caesar!). I actually plan to give him quite a large part in the comic (at least until his death, anyway!). He was such a huge part of Roman history during this era that I think it would be hard not to make him a major character!
