Are you married yet? Can I just like, marry you? *3* All I've been doing the past hour is just looking at all of your fine creations and just adoring their complex, artistic nature! I absolutely am in LOVE with your work and this has inspired me so much to try it myself as a fellow Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts fan. Well done would simply be an understatement. You are a gift from heaven. *_*

Haha I would, but it's a little complicated. He lives in a totally different state to me and we're in a long distance relationship at the moment. Even if he could do it, it would get a bit costly to send it to me. Never mind, I've seen Keyblades being sold at a convention I went to a few months ago. Maybe I'll just buy one for myself if I can afford to

Also, apologies for the late reply. Being a uni student gets kinda busy sometimesΒ haha

This is amazing and wonderfully detailed. Normally people don't seem to like to give the secrets to their trade but the fact that you did deserves kudos.

Thanks so much!!
Yea it's a trade-off but it works out. The tutorial brings in a lot of new people and yea some secrets are revealed but to truly follow and master the tutorial beyond my instruction, takes practice and skill. So really it's more like a challenge.
I also greatly enjoy receiving messages from people who have successfully made themselves a keyblade. And to my surprise, they do a great job!

These are too awesome. Wish I could do it, but the Oblivion seems too complicated still, haha. Great job.

I'm definitely going to use this, thank you very much... although first I will have to work with other materials... (since stupid dutch conventions don't allow wooden or metal props >.<), but this definitely looks much better, so I will in the future ^_^

I have a question. How much did all the supplies cost? and how much is a jigsaw?
I really wanna make my own Oathkeeper and Oblivion keyblades cause they are really expensive if you get it commisioned.

I'm sure you can find how much a jigsaw is online [link]
(usually around $30)

Just curious: Why don't you recommend spray paint or spray primer? Is it lack of detail or quality or something else?
π: 0 β©: 1
vvmasterdrfan In reply to Exclarmation [2012-10-08 20:22:57 +0000 UTC]
I am a painter and sculptor. It would be unnecessary in my opinion to hand carve an incredible amount of detail and then lazily spray it a color. I have nothing against graffiti or specialty spray colors/textures, but hand painting and blending a keyblade gives it that extra realism that most other keyblades lack.

Exclarmation In reply to vvmasterdrfan [2012-10-08 20:52:55 +0000 UTC]
Thank you. Yeah I can see that. The extra detail and work shows.
