Beautiful! This is the best dapple tutorial I have ever seen. And TRUST me... I have looked and seen. I have been trying to get these for a while and finally settled for using a brush, but these look so much better! I can't wait to try it! I tried it out, but it took me a long time.. What brush did you use for coloring the dark points on the horse? I couldn't get them to look natural and blend the way yours does.

try to use the smudging tool. and not an incredibly large sized brush.
