I was thinking something more along the lines of Jurassic Park raptors which actually don't look a whole lot like them. Real ones looked a little more like this [link]

Yeah, the wee little 3 foot feathered ones are the *scientifically correct* real velociraptors. Then again, this is a fictional raptor I'm using for a story.
