So I wondered; what if I took several interesting regions, and just left their borders as is? Well, that's how it started, and then I tweaked things a little more. And then I thought I'd fast forward things even more. Add in Communism and other fun things and you get this. I have no doubt that this unholy combination of nations and borders will wind up having their Universe unraveled into Paradox Space soon enough. But they did make it to 1991!

1 - The Peasant's Commonwealth of Britannia uses Communist sympathizers from the former Royal Family to act as representatives in the HRE. They wouldn't want to lose any hegemony!

2 - The Socialist Republic of Odinsland looks down hungrily at Sweden.

3 - The Commune of Sparta is a Communist police state where everyone over 20 is the police. Not the smartest idea, but at least it keeps the Athenians and Byzantines away.

4 - The Prachāchn's Republic of Southeast Asia struggles to stay together as Vietnamese and Loatian Capitalists burn the country side. Cambodia supplying the napalm isn't helping

5 - The Inca Commonwealth acts as a shield to other, smaller Communist states in the region.

6 - Exiled from the newly formed Republic of Portugal, the Portuguese Royal Family fled to their South American colonies. Officially the Empire of Brasilium, it is essentially just a 'Kingdom of New Portugal', and even maintains a rather controversial status as a member of the HRE.

7 - The isolationist Kingdom of Castille licks its wounds, learning from the failed attempt to make the Kingdom of Spain that it can never coexist with its neighbors.

8 - Vive le Vermont libre!

9a - The QC's half of what they could salvage of French West Africa, and they intend to keep it! Even if it means going to war with their "southern brothers".

9b - The NFF's portion of the old colonial domains. They'd like to make it independent but their "northern brothers" worry them too much for them to drop their guard.

10 - The Mongols hate the Chinese, the Russians, and the Manchurians. It's good their Khan is too afraid of them to go to war.

11 - The Republic of Mesopotamia stands on shaky ground, wary without the British Crown to support them.

12 - Better a Canuck than a Commie!

13 - The place every African dreads going...

14 - ...The place every African wishes they could go to!
