Description No one would have guessed that Tarsus Valorum was in actuality a Brotherhood of Darkness washout. Once, he and his master were rising stars in the Sith, each accomplishment they achieved outshining the last. However, a failed experiment cost the Brotherhood many Sith lives, and cost the two their credibility. In an attempt at redemption, the pair sought to manipulate the midichlorians themselves to create life, to create a being of pure darkness. But the Force rejected them, killing all the Sith that had sought to aid them in their endeavor. Tarsus Valorum and his master were then cast out of the Brotherhood; lucky for them, no one in the organization knew their true names or faces, and their participation in Republic politics remained unknown, and eventually his master became Supreme Chancellor of the Republic. Seeking to regain the favor of the Brotherhood, the Chancellor began to sabotage Republic operations, revealing himself to the Brotherhood of Darkness. In a ploy to usurp his master, Tarsus Valorum revealed these acts to the people of the Republic, and quickly led a regiment of troops to kill his former master (conveniently killing various Senators who stood in opposition to Valorum's policies), installing himself as Chancellor for the remainder of the New Sith Wars. At the Wars' end, Valorum were weary of the growing power of the Jedi, even if he was no longer a Sith, and still sought the growth of his own power. Thus came the Ruusan Reformation, furthering the "revolution of purity" that Valorum had led.

Under the Reformation, the millions of representatives and their sectors were abolished. The system of direct representation was replaced with that of a virtual one; only systems with a high enough level of population and base tax revenue would receive delegates in the Senate, and they would represent the entire Republic. Additionally, in order to "prevent another catastrophe" more power was ceded to the Supreme Chancellor--now called the Consul--to act as a unifying, central leader. While many were in opposition, many more were complacent with the reforms, the close victory of the New Sith Wars having made them fearful, and the "loyalty brigades" of the "revolution" having made them almost blindly patriotic. In direct opposition to the Ruusan Reformation, Valenthyne Farfalla led a coalition of Jedi Lords, the Army of Light, the Jedi Grand Council, and various systems and organizations into becoming the initially peaceful Alliance to Restore the Republic, taking the very first symbol of the Galactic Republic as theirs. During their very first protests on Alderaan, however, the protesters and their Army of Light guards were killed by Republic troopers under the Consul orders, who claimed they were "inciting rebellion." Ironically, this act would incite rebellion itself, as the Alliance quickly decided to begin a guerrilla war to takeover the Galactic (Unitary) Republic. In response, the GUR banned all force-based religions, making the religion of the Republic to be no religion officially.

Amidst this chaos, another threat that Valorum had unwittingly created would arise. Shmi Shan, descendant of Theron, Satele, and Bastila Shan, would arrive on the planet of Mandalore, poor and looking for work. Suddenly, she found herself pregnant, a pregnancy caused by the supposedly failed experiment by Tarsus and his master. Her son, Anakin Shan, would later be adopted officially into Clan Ordo, who secretly knew of his true lineage to the mighty Darth Revan. A proud Mandalorian, Anakin was already on his way to becoming a contender for Mandalore when he discovered his force abilities. His clan's patriarch then revealed to him his ancestor, and Anakin began to seek out what Revan had left behind throughout the galaxy. Along the way, Anakin met many former Sith and Jedi alike, learning from them both. Returning to Mandalore just in time for the New Sith Wars to end, Anakin Ordo faced the current Mandalore in fair combat, and when the dust settled, he proclaimed himself Te Revan Manda'lor: Mandalore the Revanite. Stating that he was the rebirth of Revan himself, Ordo claimed that the Mandalorians were meant to rule the galaxy, and that Lord Revan had known this, and thus the Mandalorians were rechristened the Revanites to show that their strength was stronger than any Jedi or Sith.

In the Second Revanite Empire, while the right to religious freedom is guaranteed, the beliefs of Revan himself are increasingly popular, even among non-Force sensitives, who see the concept of learning from both the Light and Dark to strengthen oneself as simply an extension of the Mandalorian way. Their spread has been swift and only barely slowed by the GUR and the Alliance in some systems. This success, however, was only achieved through what is now becoming a grave mistake. The last remaining force sensitive Rakata were found by the Revanites hiding just beyond the Outer Rim. Mandalore the Revanite promised them a planet of their own in exchange for knowledge of their technology. At first, it had seemed a perfect deal...until the Rakata began their own conquests. While they've promised not to attack any Revanite system, they have refused to stop expanding to other systems, and it is very apparent that the "Restored Infinite Empire" is no longer under the thumb of the Revanites. With the recent use of weapons that the Rakata had hidden from the former Mandalorians, hostilities between the Alliance, the Revanites, and the GUR have begun to slow, each side sending out feelers to work together to contain the Rakata.

How did these Rakata survive the plague that robbed them of the Force?

Very, interesting, don't know if it is deliberate or not but the planet symbol of the Revanits looks a lot like Revans mask

I also like the return of the infinite empire, a very good villain for any story.

Yessir, it's supposed to be Revan's mask!

And thank you! The Rakata make for such good "return of a great evil" villains, but no one ever does it.

Not to mention all the conflicts during their empire would make good stories
