Description
Time for something overly done! USA has a communist revolution, but the Cold War continues as everyone argues over who's the 'true Communists'. China becomes a third power, and things go on. There are also several other PODs in the past.Points of Interest:
1. Judea has made peace with its Muslim neighbor(s), as the communists and their atheistic tendencies are a much greater threat than whether a theocracy is to be Jewish or Muslim
2. Bolivia was perfectly willing to resurrect the old confederation to help keep themselves safe from foreign influence.
3. Ecuador was not so willing. In fact the constant martial law might better be called a military occupation.
4. The Caribbean is a near warzone. Pirate tradition of liberalism and anarchy has returned, and anarchist organizations truly rule the waves.
5. The Maritimes have debated going independent for years, as Quebec has made land transit between them and the rest of Canada difficult and dangerous. But then Alberta had tried that not too long ago; fires still burn in abandoned cities.
6. Apartheid found a solution; give them some land that only coloreds could go to, and well...out of sight, out of mind.
7. The Americans grew annoyed with Pakistan constantly asking they back their claims on Kashmir from India. While it took some haggling, and threats of military force, the Indians agreed to create a separate state.
8. The Province of Níbó'ěr doesn't even really realize it's not independent. The lack of communication in the mountains is at an all time high because of the marauders and gangs at the base of said mountains.
9. The Chinese Republic agreed to cede land and drop claims on said land to the Americans in exchange for military support in reclaiming the mainland, thinking it was to be used for resources. When they realized the plan was to create another American controlled communist state in Asia, they tried to break the deal off. But tank fire has a way of making people keep their promises.
10. The islands are a lot emptier with their newly enforced policy of "Whites Only".
11. The waters between the Citizens' Republic of Hispaniola and the Republic of Cuba have more mines and submarines than fish.
12. Panama was the only part of the CLPP that succeeded resisting conquest, only joining because of economics, a fact they are very proud of.
13. The Quebecois have put mines in their Canadian border. Combine that with the fact that bandits love to attack anyone walking through, and the Canadian territory of New France is a dangerous place.
14. The Sudanese border is more of a place for the Chinese and Americans to play war games with each other.
15. The Irish Sea is known for its hidden undersea nuclear missile silos.
16. Bhutan refused to become Maoist. Then it refused becoming Trotskyist. Then it refused becoming Waldronist. All three sides decided declaring it an 'unstable place' that they needed to step into would at least teach them a lesson.
17. Southeast Asia is where the three communist powers experiment with combining their ideologies in various ways, if only to shut up the 'Pan-Marxist' protesters.
18. While the UIR has been good to them in terms of bluffing strength, rebels have started rioting, wishing to proclaim a fully independent 'Carthaginian Republic'. The name is more for the buzz word than anything else.
19. Yugoslavia went Waldronist after the Soviet backed government suffered a 'mysterious gas leak' in the capital building.
20. It was either give them a new national identity (even one Marx critiqued) or have the Germans continue to want unification.
21. a. Regions where weapons testing is a hobby.
b. Where the Patagonians send their 'undesirables'
c. And where paranoid scientists claim something is moving beneath the ice.

Waldronism is the American communist ideology ITTL developed by Francis Xavier Waldron (AKA Eugene Dennis, AKA Tim Ryan) who was leader of CPUSA during the late 1950's (who ITTL didn't die from cancer). Essentially the basis for the ideology is that of Syndicalism. In Waldronism, the free market is allowed domestically, but the government is run by a large coalition and federation of labor unions that ensure rights, prevent competition from destroying businesses, while also encouraging enough competition as to allow for innovation. They look at Marx's idea of the Proletariat taking over and see it as free enterprise being acceptable on solely a mom & pop scale, with no truly large corporations. They're also very individualistic, believing in the idea of many opposing thoughts compromising into the best solution.
So it's basically a very Americanized version of Socialism and Syndicalism

So, it's like Anarcho-Syndicalism with Mutualist (Free Market-Anti Capitalism) aspects.

Exactly. And it makes the Soviets sick to their stomach. The Chinese too, although they are more concerned by the increasing American influence in Asia. Also, the Soviets are 'Trotskyist' but a version where multiple independent communist states are created in order to help "encourage cooperation by granting sovereignty to disenfranchised groups" (read: shut up all the groups that don't want to be part of the USSR)
