Description
1. Shadow cast by hand (Corrected with red)Remember, the shape of shadow is influenced by the form ( 形状 ) of the object it cast on..
2. Shadow should be added. (Corrected with blue)
I suggest you to add a darker shade at the side of the ladies’ body if you want to make your subjects more 3D.
3. Shadow should be added (Corrected with green)
A darker shade is suggested to add at the bottom of the ladies’ breast, so that they won’t look like “airport”, keke ^ ^
4 Shadow of a cylinder object (Corrected with yellow)
A darker shade ( I painted in yellow) should be added to make the fox tail more 3D.
While shading, try to simplify the object into a simple form, like cubic, round…. Etc. In this case, we simplify it into a cylinder to help us making shaing.
I had scanned a picture from a book, I think it help you to understand how’s a shadow of cylinder object. [link]
Notice that the middle part of the cylinder is the darkest ( we called it “core”). After the “core”, the shadow gets lighter again, due to the reflected ligh coming from the left. (the yellowish left part).
5 Keep the folds of clothes SOFT (Circled with purple)
Try avoid hard edges for clothes so that the clothes will look softer.

the "li du" ( strengh ) they use is different, of course.
i think there is one thing you didn't ever realise even you had learn for pencil so many months (or years, how i know ... -.-|| ) : actually they use many different grades of pencil.
pencil, generally hv 3 gades: light ( e.g HB, H ), medium ( eg. 2B,3B,4B) and dark(eg. 5B,6B,7B ).
Try this i your next art piece, you will find the shade you made will be different.
