Description Initially, I was just wanted to draw a rough sketch to study the mood, but after that I got enthusiast, so now it become a drawing, LoL…

I’m trying to create a new image for Dr. Octopus from the movie “Spiderman 2”. Draw it by referring the poster; just change the mood by using blue as dominant color, in order to represent his power, and also the dark side of his background.

The proportions of the appendages are changed a little bit. I enlarge the appendage in front, to create a greater impact to viewer. And the one at the back is drawn relatively smaller, so that the illusion of space will be stronger.

Now I’m still thinking on the background. What should I put for the background do you think?

Feel free to give any comment / idea to help me improve it.

I’ll proceed to final one using mixed media (maybe acrylic + watercolor) someday when everything is just fine to me. Fasten your seat belt.

thank you for your love, lili! (LoL, new nick name )

i was of two minds, whether to choose the dominant color as blue or green. green is closer to the original color of Doc Ock's costume, but the impact will less for viewers coz too predictable. that's why i choose blue at last, hu hu! hopefully this is the right choice of color.

thanks for fav, dude! that's a BIG motivation for me to proceed the final artwork.
