4 JUNE 2011: finished. I got rid of the ridiculous background and opted for something simpler so I wouldn't fail my class. It's stupid, I wanted to go ultra fantastic for this class but it's just possible with my workload and other issues.20 MAY 2011: Started inking... yeah... no way it's going to get done in time for class. I'll just have to apologize to my professor anf try to get it done for next week I suppose. I feel so behind in everything. Anywho... going to try and catch some sleep so I can at the very least make it to class.

Will be updated as I get more done. Possibly one of the few things from Hawthorne's List that I'll be putting up here.
Anywho... This is due for an assignment tomorrow SO! we'll see if I make it. I still have two character sheets (both of Joseph) that I also have to finish. whooooo....

Joseph!! I seriously love his character design. It's great. He looks like sch a Cowboy! I think my favorite things are his coat and his hat. He has a really nice warm-pallet wardrobe, and it just seems to work well with his character. All in all, simply a lovely rendition of a very badass character. AGAIN, I CALL FOR MORE HAWTHORN'S LIST!!

YES. MOAR. lolol I know. It's hard enough to just stick to one thing, so I commend you for that. But Jo and Kitty are still probably two of my very favorites of your characters. It's always good to see them.

I always prefer minimalist backgrounds. That way they don't distract too much from the focus of the piece.

well, the original background was supposed to convey a narrative to the viewer, which I really liked, but... it was just too much work for the time allotted.

Class eh? Well worry about that first, there is always time after class you can draw, but focus on work first :C but heck yah, you make great lines! How long does it usually take you to ink a full background picture?

depends on the complexity and type of background. As well as the size of the picture. This is 300dpi on a 10x16 canvas, so the size alone will make getting the lines right difficult. But otherwise, for my normal stuff... it can take anywhere between 1-10 hours on a background to line it.
