30 JUNE 2011: Done. I am SO glad that this is done. I will be spending the rest of the morning of the Apothecary and if I can get it finished, I'll be taking both to the print place and getting them mounted on foam core. Now I just need to finish more in the big long list of things to do before this semester is over.

29 JUNE 2011: The shadows are as done as they're going to get at this point. The final touch will be to add value to the individual elements of the the piece. Still not sure how much color I want to add to the piece, I want to preserve the "washout" effect that dusk creates. Also, I layered a gradient on top, which, I'm HOPING doesn't make the linework too light. Thoughts are appreciated.

28 JUNE 2011: Finished the preliminary shadows. I need to go in and soften edges, add the deeper shadows, the secondary light sources, value, etc etc etc etc etc etc....

22 JUNE 2011: Shadow basics. I've decided that in order to paint this, I will probably have to attempt it in Painter or make it smaller, which I don't want to do...

So this is the basic lighting that I was thinking of using. I'm hoping that it'll help the movement and flow, giving it a sort of figure 8 flow to keep the eye moving, and helping the focus to remain on the Symphonis family (Ralu and Ahkaida)

As always, I love feedback and any that you could give would be very much appreciated.
