Description
Instead of doing a "scene" and giving her an environment like I was originally thinking, I decided to make it more of a vignette. Other than the background, I've applied a "dyed" pattern to her shawls and sketched in the general shapes and designs for the embroidery on her skirts. The shawl patterns were made with the brush set found here: www.brusheezy.com/brushes/1792… (thank goodness for google image search because there is NO name on the folder for the brush like I usually have. I guess brusheezy doesn't put the account name on the file names like Deviantart does). The embroidery is inspired by indian embroidery and patterns. You may also notice that she has skin patterns! I think I've found something I like. Which I had for a while, I just didn't really feel like it was quite right. That is until I put a marble/cracked texture underneath. I just like the idea that her skin is covered in tiny, vein-like patterns that look like cracks underneath the bolder swirls. I also like how they look like they're glowing/reflective.I have NO idea how I'm going to be handling shading/lighting. I'm kind of procrastinating that by working on the embroidery. I'm sure I'll eventually find a method that'll look good, I just haven't found it yet.

SO beautiful and detailed! And I like your flat colors. Keeps the focus on all the details.
