Description
Named after an obscure track by Curve , this was done from a flash of an idea that began on a train ride up to study for an exam and finished on the ride down. It involves a few layers of manipulatedfractal work, some other digital tomfoolery, and a pair of textural layers created with acrylic ink, acrylic paint, and screenprinting ink on bristol board.Related content

can i ask what type of program you use to generate your fractals? i've always been facsinated with them, but wouldn't know where to look to find a program to help me generate them.

I use an old version (2) of UltraFractal (which came free with a recent issue of Computer Arts Magazine, and Xenodream. I have in the past played with Apophysis, but have not gotten accustomed to it enough to make usable results from it as yet.

Definitely interesting. Looks like a background to Indian pop-art.

I like how you used fractals in this. I love how it looks. This would look great on a wall.

I really love this! It's really eyecatching!
but one small thing bothers me...the BW part at the bottom. It somehow doesn't go with the upper part...it's too clean

This is one of your best works in the last while...in my humble opinion anyway. I love the texture in it, the colour and just the general mood you have set. It looks enough like a real place to be easy to relate to but enough abstract that you can just sit and enjoy the line work and colour. I love it.

the part where the orange crosses down into tan and turns briefly copper green... that's the best part. i love how you handle fractals.

If I lived in your area I would either promote your work through my own gallery, or I would consult directors or buyers to your work. I truly hope these works see more light than on DA. Lovely work man.

Feel free to direct buyers to it anyway
I truly hope these works see more light than on DA.
At this point, DA is it. The bandwidth required to actually promote myself is by all accounts non-existent (my mediocre skills as a self-promoter aside), and this looks to be the norm for the bulk of 2006.
As with last years cafe show, if something drops in my lap, I take it, but otherwise it is near impossible. Plus I have the downside of being essentially working in media that requires output from a printer, which some galleries do not take to well (I have actually pondered the idea that buying an 'original' of mine would involve buying a full print, signed and authenticated as the prime image, and accompanied by the original source files and paintwork in a sleeve or box)* since the concept of 'an original' seems to ephemeral otherwise.
There is also the idea that I should find some space to do large acrylic works again, but that also will be for late in the year at earliest.
* This has it's own sets of issues, as I use and reuse materials with other materials, but I will burn that bridge when I get to it.
Lovely work man.
Thank you, sir.

I have debated doing several tutorials, but my approach doesn't lend itself to one; a lot of it is my own internal logic that makes use of entropy in fanciful and unpredictable ways.
I simply have not figured out how to write that process into something oethers could read and utilize.
