Description this is two repeated base layers and a lot of attempts at layer blending and color torquing...I may be onto something for a change. too bad there isn't a minimalist category anymore.

working title was tungsten moon

acrylic paint, screenprinting ink + digital

I love things like these. It's through your work I have come to understood what the deal is with abstract art.
I Love how you framed the circle in this one.

i would say and artist never "finishes" his artwork... he's just temporarily satisfied... and this is quite pleasing to the eye.

Martian meteorites and lunar samples both have excesses of tungsten-182. I think the moon might be a Martian meteorite that got stuck in traffic.

This is fantastic. I love how you use the digital medium with your traditional work, you just really pull it off nicely every time. This is a very moody piece, it reminds me of looking at the moon when it's highlighted by clouds.

thanks. i just find it impossible to do anything I really like in just one medium (and certainly not in just one mode of working) so the only results I have been happy with have been the hybrization of analog and digital. everything still mostly feels like a raw experiment, but that is part of the thrill.

I know what you mean. I never feel like I've "finished" anything, like I'm just perpetually experimenting. I honestly don't think I ever will "finish" something, haha.

I really bel;ieve that old axiom...you never finish an artwork, you just abandon it.

I dig what your doing here.

but the title... could use some work. Tungsten moon is ok..

I dunno fi your going for a "alchemical" or similar approach I would work with objects in alchemy, Luz, Stone, the elements, mercury, planetary metals.

just a suggestion.

Very cool looking, and alchemically speaking it throws off a "dark matter " "dissolution" vibe, which kicks ass.

I really like the working title, but this title is kinda neat too.

I love the colours. I really love the way you get those weird pseudo-inverted shadows in your work.

In other news... Circles are great. O was always my favourite letter. (But then, I guess it's easy to like the letters in your names.)

oh yeah bro. i'd say you're unto plenty. this is choice. the greys and blues,...the stoney texture in conjunction with the torned tape(?),
creating that circle. this would make an excellant foundation for so many things commercially i should think.
you and a few others have really inspired my exploration into abstract textures lately. i hope to be submitting one or two in the
near future.
very nicely done.
