Description
deviantPLUS is a custom user script written in javascript. It runs each time you visit deviantART and attaches a toolbar to comments, journals, forums, notes, shoutboards, deviation descriptions, and pretty much anywhere else you can type on dA. The toolbar has buttons for things such bolding, italicizing, underlining, hyperlinking, etc.
Version 3 is a complete rewrite, re-introducing the Preferences panel that was available in earlier versions and adding the ability to create and edit buttons. The design has also been completely redone with new toolbar and button graphics by Β’mynti .
Significant programming and design work was also done by `electricnet and =Solitude12 .
A big thank you to Β’mynti , `electricnet , and =Solitude12 for their contributions to this script. Without you guys I doubt this thing would ever have been completed

To Install:
1. Install Firefox
2. Install Greasemonkey
3. Click on the link below and select "Install" and you're done!
[deviantplus_v3.user.js]
Current Users
If you currently use an older version deviantPLUS make sure you disable or uninstall the old script in your Scripts Manager.
Multiple Button Issues
There seem to be some cases where buttons show up several times after install. If this happens to you there should now be a "Reset" button in the Preferences window which will uninstall all buttons and reload the default button set.

I absolutely LOVE it! It seems slightly complicated but I still love it!
I love the new type of text on the side, like italics.
Lol i have nothing to say this is just wonderful.
Lovely, now if it was only on DeviantART already!
pffttttt <3
Its great, probably the best from the newest text comments.
I dunno, I barely have any words to say but the icons on the top of the message look better for us to use for commenting on wonderful art from everyone, and I mean EVERYONE! ^^ Man, do I wish to try this out! It seems AWESOME!

This Greasemonkey script is most likely going to be best one I will ever see. It is perfect for people who love to comment or write on deviantART. I completely loved it in minutes after the installation. There were no bugs and it functioned perfectly while I was using it. I love how the buttons don't take up much space, but are still easy to see. What also won me over was that it appears in almost every text box including journals and that the appearance looks like it's actually part of the site. This is a truly remarkable tool and I highly recommend it.

This is quite possibly the best Greasemonkey script I've seen to date. This is a must-have for every Firefox-using deviant, and if you don't have Firefox, this merits the download in and of itself.
I've never been anywhere as driven to write a critique until now. This merits praise, and lots of it. I have not found any bugs despite the creator's disclaimer, and respect the implementation of a reset feature just in case it did go awry. To make things even better, it merges seamlessly with the deviantART interface. However, I would have liked to have seen it blend better with the deviantART theme and lose the gradients, but for all it's utility you will hardly care.
This deviation is... AWESOME!!!a.deviantart.net/avatars/i/m/i⦠" alt=" " title="imhappyplz"/>
...What are you waiting for?!
Set it up!

This script is amazing addition, and definitely a "MUST HAVE" for anybody who comments or writes a lot on deviantART. I installed it in Firefox, using Greasemonkey (as is required), and within minutes I realized how useful this script was. It truly seems to be an amazingly original script (at least, I haven't seen any more where I was looking through scripts), and the technique is very good. The small buttons are nice, so it doesn't clutter up the text box, and the fact that it shows up in nearly EVERY text box makes it that much more useful. I have to say, I forsee myself using this script for a very long time to come, and I look forward to updates, along with other scripts.

Thanks for making it

It doesn't work anymore...
There's no chance of getting some text bold, underlined etc. - you always get to the top of the page by clicking those button, but the text is the same like before.
Unfortunately the link button isn't working too
Would be really great if that things could get fixed, cause this script is really usefull!

Unless anyone can help with ---
Taken to a new page to reply to a comment.
Icon toolbar only appears at the bottom of the longest comment box I've seen. When you preview, you have to scroll like 10 feet to the top of the comment box, Then back down to edit or add comment.

It's a really good script and I really thanks the ones who did it, though i say there would be one thing to update: when I try answering to comments with the script on, it bring me to the special reply page. I can't answer comments from my message center anymore. If this could be changed, then I think this script would be perfect ^^

I was wondering how do you link people's user icons with this, instead of just the link with their name?
I hoped this was going to do that for me.
It's nice tho. I do like the text editing stuff.

You don't need this script for that, see FAQ #81: How can I make links to other deviants, deviations, or websites?

Working well, but the toolbar doesn't seem to be working when I try to submit text as a deviation (not via sta.sh or sta.sh writer) - the text field in Submit Deviation -> 'Add Text' doesn't show this toolbar.
I have every box including 'Literature' checked. I'd really appreciate it if you could advise. Otherwise works perfectly.

I've been addicted to using this since the very beginning of my time here at dA. Sadly, I've recently switched to Chrome because Firefox has been getting buggy on me, and now I can't use the script. Any chance you'll be programming a Chrome version of this, or are you aware of anyone who might have done so already?

I used to use this a few years ago on an older computer and I loved it then, but the buttons now get in the way of the text area and do not work for journals as far as I've see, is it just me?

This is a really helpful user script, but every time I attempt to reply to a message, it just takes me to where I made the comment and even there I cannot reply. Have I installed this script correctly, or is this just a bug?
